WPUC-FM
WPUC-FM is a noncommercial educational radio station broadcasting an Adult Contemporary format. Licensed to Ponce, Puerto Rico, it serves the southern Puerto Rico area. The station is currently owned by Pontifical Catholic Univ of Puerto Rico Service Assn, Incorporated. The original (1982) licensee call letters of this radio station were WEUC, short for Emisora Universidad Catolica . On March 1, 2000, it changed its call letters to WPUC-FM, Pontifica Universidad Catolica .
Toro Negro State Forest
Toro Negro State Forest is one of the 16 state forests in Puerto Rico. The forest is located in the central region of the island. The forest covers 6,945 cuerdas of mountains, with heights that include Cerro de Punta, the highest peak in the island. It spans areas within the municipalities of Jayuya, Ponce, Orocovis, Juana Díaz, and Ciales, and consists of seven non-contiguous tracks of land. The largest segment of the forest is located in the municipalities of Jayuya and Ponce.
