Vasco da Gama Tower
The Vasco da Gama Tower is a 145 m lattice tower with skyscraper in Lisbon, Portugal, built over the Tagus river. It is named after Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, who was the first European to arrive in India by sail, in 1498. The architects of the tower were Leonor Janeiro, Nick Jacobs and SOM (Skidmore, Owings and Merrill). The steel structure, representing the sail of a caravel, was assembled by engineering company Martifer. The tower was built in 1998 for the Expo 98 World's Fair.

Teatro Camões
Teatro Camões is a concert hall in Lisbon, Portugal which opened in 1998 for the International World Exhibition Expo 98. It began being used by the Lisbon Symphony Orchestra, and is currently stage of the Portuguese National Ballet Company. It was designed by acclaimed Portuguese architect Manuel Salgado, who also designed the Centro Cultural de Belem (a multi purpose cultural center in Lisbon) and the Estádio do Dragão (the FCP football stadium in Oporto).
