Portugal
Portugal, officially the Portuguese Republic, is a country located in Southwestern Europe, on the Iberian Peninsula. Siege of Lisbon
The Siege of Lisbon, from July 1 to October 25, 1147, was the military action that brought the city of Lisbon under definitive Portuguese control and expelled its Moorish overlords. The Siege of Lisbon was one of the few Christian victories of the Second Crusade—it was "the only success of the universal operation undertaken by the pilgrim army," i.e. the Second Crusade, according to the contemporary historian Helmold—and is seen as a pivotal battle of the wider Reconquista.
First Portuguese Republic
The First Portuguese Republic spans a complex 16 year period in the history of Portugal, between the end of the period of constitutional monarchy marked by the 5 October 1910 revolution and the 28 May coup d'état of 1926. The last movement instituted a military dictatorship known as Ditadura Nacional (national dictatorship) that would be followed by the corporatist Estado Novo (new state) regime of António de Oliveira Salazar.

Afonso de Albuquerque Square
Afonso de Albuquerque Square (Portuguese: Praça Afonso de Albuquerque) is a public square in the Belém district of the city of Lisbon, Portugal. The square is located in front of Belém Palace, a 17th-18th century palace that nowadays serves as residence for the President of Portugal. The square is named after the first conqueror of India, Afonso de Albuquerque, and offers the best views of Belém Palace.
National Coach Museum
The National Coach Museum (Portuguese: Museu Nacional dos Coches) is located in the Belém district of Lisbon, in Portugal. The museum has one of the finest collections of historical carriages in the world, being one of the most visited museums of the city. The museum is housed in the old Horse Riding Arena of the Belém Palace, formerly a Royal Palace which is now the official residence of the President of Portugal.
Tejo Power Station
The Tejo Power Station was a thermoelectric power plant owned by the Companhias Reunidas de Gás e Electricidade (CRGE – United Gas and Electric Companies), which supplied power to the city and entire Lisbon region. It is located in the Belém district of Portugal’s capital and its activity spanned from 1909 to 1972, although as of 1951 it was used as a reserve power station.
Tejo Power Station (architectural ensemble)
After continuous transformations and expansions over the years, the Tejo Power Station still remains in a perfect state of conservation. It represents a great manufacturing complex from the first half of the 20th century, readapted for museological purposes. Its brick outer cladding, the complex's unifying element, stands out from all the other surrounding buildings and gives it a unique aesthetic.
Terras do Desembargador
Terras do Desembargador was a football dirt field in Lisbon, Portugal. It hosted football matches for Sport Lisboa. In 1903, football was a growing sport, and Terras do Desembargador was Lisbon's main field for playing football. It had no fences and bystanders can freely enter the field and disrupt match. When a ball was lost to outside the field it was difficult to recover it because of the open spaces.
