Casino Estoril
Casino Estoril is located in Estoril, near Lisbon, Portugal. It's the largest casino in Europe. During World War II, it was reputed to be a gathering spot for espionage agents, dispossessed royals, and wartime adventurers. It was the inspiration for Ian Fleming's 007 novel Casino Royale.

Cascais
Cascais is a coastal town in Cascais Municipality in Portugal, 30 kilometres west of Lisbon, with about 35,000 residents. It is a cosmopolitan suburb of the Portuguese capital and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. The former fishing village gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Nowadays, it is a popular vacation spot for both Portuguese and foreign tourists.
Autódromo do Estoril
The Autódromo do Estoril (officially, Autódromo Fernanda Pires da Silva) is a motorsport race track in Portugal, owned by state-run holding management company Parpública. Its length is 4.182 km . It was the home of the Formula One Portuguese Grand Prix from 1984 to 1996. Its first years saw many national races, as well as an occasional Formula 2 race.
Estádio Nacional
The Estádio Nacional (English: National Stadium), also known as Estádio do Jamor, is an out-of-use stadium that used to be the Portuguese national football ground. It is located in the Jamor sports complex, in Oeiras, near Lisbon. It was designed by Jacobetty Rosa and the building works started in 1939, with its inauguration happening on 10 June 1944 by the Council president António Oliveira Salazar.
Carcavelos
Carcavelos is a parish in the Portuguese municipality of Cascais, about 12 km west of Lisbon. The village used to be known for the Carcavelos wine, but since the wine production is nowadays reduced, Carcavelos is better known among surfers because of the good surfing condition of the Carcavelos beach. Carcavelos also marks the mouth of the Tejo River. To the east side of the Carcavelos beach there is a huge fortification named Forte de São Julião da Barra.

Sintra Mountains
The Sintra Mountains or locally the Serra De Sintra is a mountain range in western Portugal. Its highest point is (1,736 feet) is near Sintra. The range covers about 10 miles (16 km) from the resort town of Sintra to Cabo da Roca on the Atlantic Ocean. It was known to the Ancient World as Lunae Mons (mountains of the Moon) and was the legendary retreat of Diana the Huntress (Cynthia to the Romans, hence Çintra).
Paço de Arcos
Paço de Arcos (is a civil parish in Oeiras, Portugal. With an area of 3,49 km², 28 000 inhabitants and population density of 3 390,5 hab/km². It was elevated to town by a decree at December 7, 1926. Its name comes from the Palace of the Arches located at the entrance to the village, where king D. Manuel I of Portugal watched Vasco da Gama's caravels leave for India. Nowadays, the Portuguese maritime academy - Escola Náutica Infante D. Henrique - is based there.
Algueirão–Mem Martins
Algueirão – Mem Martins is a Portuguese freguesia, belonging to the Sintra Municipality. It has an area of 16.37 km² and a population of 66,250 (2011), having a population density of about 4000 hab/km². This makes it one of the most densely populated towns in Portugal. It was promoted from village to town on February 1, 1988.

Estádio António Coimbra da Mota
Estadio António Coimbra da Mota is a multi-use stadium in Estoril, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Primeira Liga side G.D. Estoril Praia. The stadium has a capacity to hold 8000 spectators. The stadium also plays host to Estoril's reserve team home games.
Boca do Inferno
Boca do Inferno (Portuguese for Hell's Mouth) is a chasm located in the seaside cliffs close to the Portuguese city of Cascais, in the District of Lisbon. The seawater has access to the deep bottom of the chasm and vigorously strikes its rocky walls, making it a popular tourist attraction.
Sintra National Palace
The Sintra National Palace (Portuguese: Palácio Nacional de Sintra), also called Town Palace (Palácio da Vila Vila=Town) is located in the town of Sintra, in Portugal near Lisbon. It is the best preserved medieval Royal Palace in Portugal, having been inhabited more or less continuously at least from the early 15th up to the late 19th century. It is an important tourist attraction and is part of the Cultural landscape of Sintra, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Estoril Court Central
Estoril Court Central is the main tennis court in Oeiras, Portugal. Built in 2005, it currently holds 10,000 spectators. It annually hosts the Estoril Open in May.
Saint Dominic's International School
Saint Dominics International School is an IB World School in Outeiro de Polima, near Lisbon, in Portugal. It was founded by Irish Dominican Sisters, beginning as the Bom Sucesso Girls Day School in 1954. Transition to a co-educational school began in 1963. With the building of the bridge over the Tagus River, now called the 25 de Abril Bridge, the expanding English expatriate community asked the sisters to establish a new school.

Archaeological Site of Colaride
The archaeological site of Colaride, located in the Portuguese municipality of Sintra, is a Roman necropolis associated with a natural cave. Surface finds indicate a possible villa but only a Roman quarry dating from the 1st to 3rd centuries AD is confirmed.
Gibalta rail accident
The Gibalta rail accident occurred on 31 March 1952, on the Linha de Cascais (Cascais line) in Portugal. It was a derailment due to landslides caused by adverse weather conditions and the bad conservation status of the surrounding land. The accident resulted in 10 dead and 38 injured.
