Figueira da Foz
Figueira da Foz, also known as Figueira for short, is a city in the municipality of the same name, in the Coimbra District, in Portugal. It is located at the mouth of the Mondego River, 40 km west of Coimbra, and sheltered by hills. The seat is the city of Figueira da Foz, with a population of 46,600. The wider municipality has 62,601 inhabitants. It is the second largest city in the district of Coimbra.
Buarcos
Buarcos is a freguesia (civil parish) in the municipality of Figueira da Foz, Portugal. It is a traditional fishing town that has grown also as a noted beach resort due to the calm waters of its sea, which is protected by the Boa Viagem small mountain range (Serra da Boa Viagem). Many of its inhabitants still work in the fishing industry but tourism is also an important activity. It has many seafood restaurants and bars.
