Piła
Piła is a town in northwestern Poland. It had 77,000 inhabitants as of 2001. It is situated in the Greater Poland Voivodeship (since 1999), previously capital of Piła Voivodeship (1975–1998). Piła is the largest town in the northern part of Great Poland. It is the capital of Piła County. The town is located on the Gwda river and is famous for its green areas, parks and dense forests nearby.

Gwda
The Gwda is a river in Poland. It is 146 kilometers long and begins at Lake Studnica, northeast of Szczecinek. Its upper course flows through many lakes. It runs through the town of Piła. Special fishing rules and regulations regarding trout are in effect for the following sections of the Gwda: Downstream from Koszalin Province boundary and upstream from road bridge in Ledyczek excluding reservoir between Wegorzewo and Lomczewo.
Okrąglak roundhouse in Piła
The Okrąglak roundhouse in Piła, Poland dates from the period 1870–1874, and is related to intensive development of railways in Prussia. This particular roundhouse became standard for buildings of the same type in Europe thanks to application of atypical architectonic solutions. It went out of regular use in the 1990s.

Piła Główna railway station
Piła Main Station is one of the largest and most important rail junctions of Poland, located in the northwestern city of Piła. The complex is located in southern part of the center of the city, at 1 Sigismund I the Old Street, and its construction began in 1853, when Pila belonged to the German Empire. The station was part of the newly-built Prussian Eastern Railway, which had been opened in 1851, and which had reached Pila on July 27, 1851.
