Chrzanów is a town in south Poland with 39,704 inhabitants (2006). It is situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (since 1999) and is the capital of Chrzanów County.
Jaworzno
Jaworzno is a city in southern Poland, near Katowice. It lies in the Silesian Highlands, on the Przemsza river (a tributary of the Vistula). Jaworzno belongs to the historic province of Lesser Poland. The city is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously (1975 - 1999) it was in Katowice Voivodeship.
Chełmek
Chełmek is a town in Lesser Poland Voivodeship in southern Poland. In 1975-1998 it belonged to Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship. It has 9,073 inhabitants (data from 2006). Previously known for the Chełmek Shoe Factory, which until 1947 was part of Bata Shoes. During World War II, a subcamp of the Auschwitz concentration camp was created in 1941 by Otto P. Klein in the northern sector of the town, housing overflow from Auschwitz.
Central Labour Camp Jaworzno
The Central Labour Camp in Jaworzno has a double history. Originally, it was a Nazi concentration camp called SS-Lager Dachsgrube a.k. a Arbeitslager Neu-Dachs established during World War II by the Third Reich on the territory of occupied Poland in Jaworzno, Upper Silesia. The camp operated continuously from 1943 under the German administration until the end of war.
Sławków

It borders the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union - a metropolis with a population of around 2 million. Sławków is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship, previously it was in Katowice Voivodeship. Battle of Krzykawka
Battle of Krzykawka was a military engagement that took place during the January Uprising on May 5, 1863, between Russian forces and Polish insurgents and foreign (French and Italian) volunteers allied with them. It took place close to the village of Krzykawka near Olkusz. The Polish forces were led by general Józef Miniewski and included the Italian Garibaldi Legion under the command of Francesco Nullo. The outcome of the engagement was a victory for the Russian forces.
