Lechia Gdańsk is a Polish football club based in Gdańsk, Poland. The club's name comes from Lechia, a poetic name for Poland. The club was founded by people expelled from Lwów, who were supporters of Lechia Lwów. Founded in 1945, Lechia was a powerhouse in Polish football during the mid-1950s. The Gdańsk University of Technology is a technical university in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz, and one of the oldest universities in Poland. Gdańsk Południowy is a former railway station in Gdańsk, Poland. It used to be the first station in Gdańsk, built outside the city walls, as the municipal government refused to agree on removing fortifications in order to lead rails inside. After the inauguration of the Gdańsk Główny station, this station became a freight-only one; the station building is no longer used.
MOSiR Stadium (Gdańsk)
Stadion MOSiR is a multi-purpose stadium in Gdańsk, Poland. The stadium has a capacity for about 12,000 people, however it held 40,000 spectators during a match between Lechia Gdańsk and Italian side Juventus. Its facilities include heated turf, floodlights emitting 2,000 lux, an artificial surface pitch, two training pitches, tennis courts, gymnasium, athletic hall, hotel and office building.

The Siege of Danzig of 1734 was the Russian encirclement (February 22 – June 30) and capture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth city of Danzig (present-day Gdańsk) during the War of Polish Succession. It was the first time that troops of France and Russia had met as foes in the field.
