Sobieszewo Island
Sobieszewo Island is an island on the Baltic sea, located between the Gdańsk Bay and the delta of Vistula river. The island is the part of territory of the city of Gdańsk, Poland. Area: 34.3 km² Population: 3,570 people. Density: 104 people/km² The northern border of the island is the waters of Gdańsk Bay, while its southern border is a branch of the Vistula river, called Leniwka.
Przekop
Przekop, located in Poland, is a branch of the Vistula river in its delta. It was artificially created in 1895 to link the Leniwka branch with Gdańsk Bay near the village of Świbno. Currently, the main current of the Vistula reaches the sea through Przekop. It is also referred to as Przekop Wisły (the name literally means Vistula Dug-through in Polish).

The Vistula rises at Barania Góra in the south of Poland, 1,220 meters above sea level in the Silesian Beskids (western part of Carpathian Mountains), where it begins with the White Little Vistula (Biała Wisełka) and the Black Little Vistula (Czarna Wisełka).
