Battle of Oliwa
The naval Battle of Oliwa, also Battle of Oliva or Battle of Gdańsk Roadstead, took place on 28 November 1627 during the Polish-Swedish War slightly north of the port of Danzig (Gdańsk) near the village of Oliva. It was the largest naval battle fought by the Polish royal navy, and resulted in the defeat of a small Swedish squadron.

Lechia Gdańsk is a Polish football club based in Gdańsk, Poland. The club's name comes from Lechia, a poetic name for Poland. The club was founded by people expelled from Lwów, who were supporters of Lechia Lwów. Founded in 1945, Lechia was a powerhouse in Polish football during the mid-1950s. Next decades were lean, the team returned to form in early the 1980s, winning a Cup of Poland, a Super Cup, and playing in the UEFA Cup Winners Cup, where it lost to Juventus Turin.

Gdańsk Stocznia railway station
Gdańsk Stocznia is an SKM stop in Gdańsk, Poland. It is the second stop of this urban train line on the way to Wejherowo. This stop is not merged with any railway station. It has two platforms, out of which only one is still operating, as the second one (with one track adjacent) was operating the line to Nowy Port which is now closed. The ticket office used to be located on this platform, but the building has been pulled down for at least 4 years.

Stadion MOSiR is a multi-purpose stadium in Gdańsk, Poland. The stadium has a capacity for about 12,000 people, however it held 40,000 spectators during a match between Lechia Gdańsk and Italian side Juventus. Its facilities include heated turf, floodlights emitting 2,000 lux, an artificial surface pitch, two training pitches, tennis courts, gymnasium, athletic hall, hotel and office building.
Siege of Danzig (1734)
The Siege of Danzig of 1734 was the Russian encirclement (February 22 – June 30) and capture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth city of Danzig (present-day Gdańsk) during the War of Polish Succession. It was the first time that troops of France and Russia had met as foes in the field.
The Monument Cemetery of the Lost Cemeteries
The monument commemorates the necropolis which no longer exists in the city of Gdańsk, Poland. It is dedicated to the citizens of Gdańsk who were once buried in one of the city’s 27 graveyards either destroyed during WWII or bulldozed on purpose after the end of the war. The monument was designed to resemble a temple.

Poland's bus disaster of 1994 was a bus crash near Gdańsk involving a commuter bus PKS (Polska Komunikacja Samochodowa) that veered into a road-side tree. In the accident, 32 people died and 45 were injured.
Baltic State Opera
Baltic State Opera is an opera company located in Gdańsk, Poland. It began in February 1949 as the Music and Drama Studio set up by Iwo Gall. In autumn 1949, the Opera Studio of the Baltic Philharmonic was founded. In 1953, they were united under the name of Baltic State Opera and Philharmonic. In 1993, after the institution had been divided, the Baltic Opera emerged. In 2008, Marek Weiss became the director and steered the institution in a new direction.
