Wola
Wola is a district in western Warsaw, Poland, formerly the village of Wielka Wola, incorporated into Warsaw in 1916. An industrial area with traditions reaching back to the early 19th century, it is slowly changing into an office and residential district. Several museums are located in Wola.
Wola massacre
The Wola massacre (Polish: Rzeź Woli, "Wola slaughter") was the systematic killing of around 40,000-50,000 people by Nazi German troops during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Between 5–12 August 1944, tens of thousands of Polish civilians along with captured resistance fighters were indiscriminately shot or killed in organised mass executions throughout the Wola district of the Polish capital Warsaw.
Boernerowo
Boernerowo is a neighbourhood in the Warsaw's borough of Bemowo. Initially the spot was occupied by a small village called Babice, with an eponymous fort located in its centre. In early 1920s the area surrounding the fort was bought by the Polish state and in 1922 the Ministry of Post and Telegraphs started the construction of the Transatlantic Radio Station.
LOT Flight 7
LOT Flight 7 crashed near Okęcie Airport in Warsaw, Poland, on 14 March 1980, due to mechanical failure as the crew aborted a landing and attempted to go-around. All 87 crew and passengers died.
Sybirak Roundabout
Rondo Zesłańców Syberyjskich w Warszawie is a roundabout in western Warsaw's Ochota district, named after Poles who have been exiled to Siberia. The following streets meet at Sybirak Roundabout: on the east, aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenue); on the west, aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenue); on the north, aleja Prymasa Tysiąclecia (Millennial Primate Avenue); on the south, ulica Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 roku (1920 Battle of Warsaw Street).
Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery
The Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery (Polish: Cmentarz Powstańców Warszawy) is located in Wolska 174/176 street in the Wola district of Warsaw. It was established in 1945 and it occupies 1.5 ha. In this cemetery there are buried approx. 104,000 victims of World War II killed and murdered in Warsaw, including: defenders of Warsaw in its siege by Germans in September 1939, Warsaw inhabitants murdered during the German occupation, insurgents of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944.

On 20 May 2012 it was incorporated into Warszawa Zachodnia station as its Platform 8, and is currently marked as Warszawa Zachodnia per. 8. Despite the change, it maintains all the functionality of Warszawa Wola. The station was built in the 1980s just 250 m from Warszawa Zachodnia station on the Warsaw orbital line, which goes through Warszawa Gdańska station.
