Puławy
Puławy is a town in eastern Poland, in Lublin Province, on the Wisła and Kurówka rivers. According to the 2006 census estimate, the town had a total population of 49,839. Puławy is the capital of Puławy County, and was known as Nowa Aleksandria from 1846 to 1918. Its coat of arms is the Pahonia. Puławy was first mentioned in documents in the 15th century. At that time, it was spelled as Pollavy, and its name probably comes from a Vistula river ford, which was located nearby.
Kurówka
Kurówka is a river in South-East Poland, a right tributary of Vistula River. Its length is approximately 50 kilometres and its basin covers roughly 395,4 km². Its source is located near the village of Piotrowice Wielkie and it joins Vistula in Puławy. Among the notable villages located along the river are Garbów, Markuszów, Kurów and Końskowola.

Expressway S12 (Poland)
Expressway S12 or express road S12 (in Polish droga ekspresowa S12) is a major road in Poland which has been planned to run from Piotrków Trybunalski, through Radom, Lublin and Chełm, to the border crossing with Ukraine at Dorohusk. The completed road should be about 315 km long. At present only two sections exist: the bypass of Piaski (4.2 km, common with S17) and the first stage of Puławy bypass (12.7 km) with the John Paul II bridge.
John Paul II Bridge, Puławy
The John Paul II Bridge is a tied-arch bridge over the Vistula River in Puławy, Poland. With its arch main span of 212 metres it is the longest arch bridge in Poland. The bridge is named after Pope John Paul II and was completed on 11 July 2008. The bridge was built in the first stage of Puławy bypass (12,7 km long) which is part of the future Expressway S12 (Poland) leading towards the Polish border with Ukraine.
