Piotrków Trybunalski
Piotrków Trybunalski (also known by alternative names) is a city in central Poland with 76 717 inhabitants (2011). It is situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999), and previously was the capital of Piotrków Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the capital of Piotrków County.
Great Synagogue, Piotrków Trybunalski
The Great Synagogue in Piotrków Trybunalski, (Polish: Wielka Synagoga w Piotrkowie Trybunalskim), was built between 1791-1793 and designed by David Friedlander. The synagogue was devastated by Nazis during the World War II. After the war, the building was renovated and it now serves as a library.

Battle of Piotrków Trybunalski
The Battle of Piotrków Trybunalski was a battle in the Invasion of Poland which started with the German breakthrough during the Battle of Borowa Gora. After the German breakthrough at Borowa Gora, the Germans and their tanks and soldiers headed for the Polish town of Piotrków Trybunalski. German tanks attacked the town, but Polish 155 mm howitzers destroyed several tanks and the Germans fell back, returning again later that day.
