Zgierz
Zgierz is a town in central Poland, located just to the north of Łódź and part of the metropolitan area centered on that city. As of 2007, it had a population of 58,164. Zgierz is situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999); previously it was in Łódź Metro Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the capital of Zgierz County. Zgierz is one of the oldest cities in Central Poland. It acquired its city rights some time before 1288.

Ezras Israel Synagogue
Ezras Izrael Synagogue, also known as the Wolynska shul for its location at ul. Wolczanska 6, was a synagogue in Łódź, Poland. It was built in 1899-1904 by Jewish merchants who had come to Łódź from Lithuania and Belarus. The architect was Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger. The synagogue was burnt down by Nazis on November 11, 1939.
Piotrkowska Street
Piotrkowska Street, the main artery of Łódź, Poland, is one of the longest commercial thoroughfares in Europe, with a length of 4.9 km. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city. It runs longitudinally in the straight line between the Liberty Square (Plac Wolności) and the Independence Square (Plac Niepodleglości). The Stara Synagogue was a "beautiful" synagogue in Łódź, Poland. The name Stara means old, many Polish cities called the oldest synagogue in town the Stara synagogue. The Stara was Łódź's principal Orthodox synagogue. It was built by Orthodox industrial magnates who wished to outshine, or at least compete with, the 1881 Great Synagogue (Łódź) built by the Reformed Jewish community.
