Günther Specht
Günther Specht (13 November 1914 – 1 January 1945) was a German Luftwaffe fighter ace during World War II. Specht joined the heavy fighter wing (ZG 26) "Horst Wessel" in early 1939. The unit was initially equipped with Messerschmitt Bf 109s and later with the Bf 110. In 1939 he was wounded by an RAF tail gunner and blinded in one eye. He returned to active duty and was shot down six times during the war.
