Catbalogan Airport
Catbalogan Airport is an airport located in Catbalogan City, Samar, Philippines. It is classified as a feeder airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, a body of the Department of Transportation and Communications that is responsible for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports. Catbalogan Airport is a feeder airport in the province of Samar, an hour away from Calbayog Airport.
Maulong, Catbalogan
Maulong refers to a barangay or village in Catbalogan City, Philippines located between the villages of Payao and Mercedes. It is 518 km southeast of Manila and 2 km from downtown Catbalogan City, the provincial capital of Samar. Camp Vicente Lukban, Philippine Army, 8th Infantry Division covers a large part of Maulong. Most residents are soldiers because of its close proximity to the camp. The camp is named in honor of a Philippine revolutionary officer, Vicente Lukbán.
