Las Piñas
The City of Las Piñas is a city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines with a population of 552,573 as of the 2010 Census. It is bounded on the north and northeast by the Parañaque; on the east and southeast by Muntinlupa; on the south by the Imus; on the southwest and west by Bacoor; and on the northwest by the scenic Manila Bay. Half of its land area is residential and the remaining half is used for commercial, industrial and institutional purposes.

The City of Parañaque (pop. 588,126 in 2010 Census) is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila in the Philippines. It is located at 121’01” longitude and 14’30” latitude and is bordered to the north by Pasay, to the northeast by Taguig, to the southeast by Muntinlupa, to the southwest by Las Piñas, and to the west by Manila Bay.

USS Sealion (SS-195), a Sargo-class submarine, was the first ship of the United States Navy to be named for the sea lion, any of several large, eared seals native to the Pacific. Las Piñas Bamboo Organ
The Las Piñas Bamboo Organ in St. Joseph Parish Church, the parish church of Las Piñas City in the Philippines, is a nineteenth-century pipe organ made almost entirely from bamboo. The organ is declared a National Cultural Treasure of the country. Since 1992, Prof. Armando V. Salarza has been the titular organist of the Bamboo Organ. He is also the Artistic Director of the International Bamboo Organ Festival, the longest-running international music festival held in the Philippines.

Saint Andrew's School (SAS) is a private Catholic parochial school of the Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew and managed by the Diocese of Parañaque. It is located in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The school offers preschool, primary, secondary and alternative education. In February 2006, the school was temporarily closed due to mercury spillage and its exposure to 89 students and 17 teachers, totaling to 106 victims, resulting a nationwide restriction of mercury usage in schools.

The 2011 Beechcraft 65-80 Queen Air crash occurred on December 10, 2011, when a Beechcraft 65-80 Queen Air cargo plane crashed into the Felixberto Serrano Elementary School near Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, killing at least 14 people including the three crew members on board the aircraft, and injuring over 20 people. Approximately 50 houses in the residential area were set ablaze by the subsequent fire caused by the plane crash.
