Palestinian territories
The Palestinian territories or occupied Palestinian territories (OPT or oPt) comprise the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. In 1993, following the Oslo Accords, parts of the territories politically came under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian National Authority (Areas A and B). In 2007, the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip violently split from the Palestinian Authority, governing the area of Gaza independently since.
Gibeah
Gibeah is a place name appearing in several books of the Bible. It is generally identified with a hill in Jerusalem, on the outskirts of the Pisgat Ze'ev and Shuafat neighborhoods, known as Tell el-Ful. However, this identification was challenged by Israel Finkelstein in 2011.

Neve Yaakov
Neve Yaakov also Neve Ya'aqov, (lit. Jacob's Oasis), is a neighborhood located in northern East Jerusalem, north of Pisgat Ze'ev and south of al-Ram. Established in 1924 during the period of the British Mandate, it was abandoned during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. The area was captured by Israel in the Six Day War and a new neighborhood was built there, at which time international opposition to its legitimacy began.

Atarot Airport, (also Kalandia Airport, Qalandia Airport, and Jerusalem Airport) was a small airport located between Jerusalem and Ramallah. It was the first airport in the British Mandate for Palestine. It has been closed since the Second Intifada.
Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center
Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center (مركز خليل سكاكيني الثقافي) is an organization established in 1996. It is located at 4 Raja Street, Ramallah in the West Bank. The traditional manor that houses the centre was the former family home of Khalil Salem Salah, the mayor of Ramallah between 1947/1951, is now owned by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. The Centre is a non- governmental, non-profit organization (NGO) dedicated to the promotion of arts and culture in Palestine.
Ramallah Friends Schools
The Ramallah Friends Schools are two elite Private Schools founded by Quakers in the city of Ramallah, in the West Bank. The Friends Girls' School was inaugurated in 1869; the construction of the Friends Boy's School began in 1901 and opened in 1918. The Schools were run by American Quakers. The schools are now co-educational and divided into Senior and Junior sections; a Meeting House was built in 1910.
Adasa
Adasa is a city referred to the Maccabees and the site of the Syrian-Seleucid General Nicanor's death and Judas Maccabeus's post in the battle of Adasa. It is said to be just opposite Beth-Horon, at a 3½ mile distance.
Mateh Binyamin Regional Council
Mateh Binyamin Regional Council is a regional council covering 42 Israeli settlements in the southern Samarian hills of the West Bank. The seat of the council is Psagot. The council is named for the ancient Israelite tribe of Benjamin, whose territory roughly corresponds to that of the council. In November 2007, Avi Roeh was elected head of the council. The previous head, Pinchas Wallerstein stepped down after being in the position for 28 years.

Mizpah in Benjamin
Mizpah ("watch-tower; the look-out") was a city of Benjamin. Tell en-Nasbeh is one of two sites often identified with Biblical Mizpah of Benjamin, and is located about 8 miles north of Jerusalem. The other suggested location is Neby Samwil, which is some 4 miles north-west of Jerusalem, and situated on the loftiest hill in the vicinity, some 600 feet above the plain of Gibeon.
Al-Quds Open University
Al-Quds Open University is an administratively, academically and financially independent public university. According to the university's website, it was established in Amman, Jordan, by a decree issued by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and started operating in the Palestinian territories in 1991. http://www. qou. edu/homePage/english/index. jsp?pageId=4 QOU is the only open distance education institute in the Palestinian territories.
Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate
The Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate is one of 16 Governorates of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It covers a large part of the central West Bank, on the northern border of the Jerusalem Governorate. Its district capital or muhfaza (seat) is the city of al-Bireh. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the district had a population of 279,730 in 2007. Its governor is Dr. Laila Ghannam, the first Female Governor.
Ofer Prison
Ofer Prison, formerly officially known as Incarceration Facility 385 (מתקן כליאה 385), is an Israeli incarceration facility (מתקן כליאה mitkan kli'a, abbr. Matak) located in the West Bank, between Ramallah/Beituniya and Giv'at Ze'ev. It is one of three facilities of the same nature, including the Megiddo and Ktzi'ot prisons. Ofer Prison is run by the Israel Prison Service and like the other two facilities, used to be operated by the Israel Defense Forces' Military Police Corps.
Sultan Ibrahim Ibn Adham Mosque
The Sultan Ibrahim Ibn Adham Mosque is the largest mosque in the Palestinian town of Beit Hanina, located northeast of Jerusalem. It is named after a Muslim who lived in the town and worked as collector of olive products. An engraving in a stone in front of the mosque reads, "this mosque was built by Suwaid Abul Hamayel in the year 336 after Hijrah". The area of the mosque was expanded in 1938 by the residents of Beit Hanina. In 1993, a boys primary school was built alongside the mosque.
Orthodox Church of Ramallah
The Church of Transfiguration in Ramallah was inaugurated in 1852. The Basilica is of Byzantine style. The church contains sacred utensils and old Icons, some of which date back to 1830 and were transferred to the church after the destruction of small churches in Ramallah as a result of persecution and several wars. In the convent of transfiguration exists the spiritual leadership of all Ramallah district.
Al-Kasaba Theatre
Al-Kasaba Theatre is a cinema in the city of Ramallah in the West Bank. It was established in 1970 for playwrights and eventually began presenting films. Al-Kasaba is the only official multipurpose cinema in the Palestinian territories.
American School of Palestine
The American School of Palestine is an k-12 bilingual school in al-Bireh and Ramallah, West Bank, Palestine.
Giv'at Asaf
Giv'at Asaf is an Israeli outpost in the West Bank. Located 3.5 kilometres from the settlement of Beit El, it falls under the jurisdiction of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. It has about 30 structures and is home to some 30 families. It was established in May 2001 after the murder of Asaf Hershkovitz, a resident of Ofra, for whom it was named.
Jamal Abdel Nasser Mosque
Jamal Abdel Nasser Mosque is the largest mosque in Ramallah, in the central West Bank. Located in the Downtown district of the city, the mosque is named after the late Egyptian president and Arab leader Gamal Abdel Nasser. On March 14, 2002, the Israeli Army (IDF) took over the mosque and used its minaret for sniping, killing four Palestinians.
Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium
Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium is an association football stadium in Al-Ram, West Bank. It is the home stadium of the Palestine national football team. It is named for Faisal Husseini, a Palestinian politician who died in 2001. The stadium seats 12,500.
Highway 45 (Israel)
Highway 45 is the official designation of a 3.4 km stretch of highway forming a continuous connection between Route 443 from Lod via the Ben Shemen Interchange and Highway 50 (Begin Expressway) to central Jerusalem. At its junction with Highway 50, the officially numbered "45" takes a 90-degree turn eastwards running 0.8 km to the Atarot Industrial Zone. Originally, the road was supposed to originate in the Dan Region, passing slightly north of Beit Horon and Beit Ur al-Fauqa.
Jerusalem Road 20
Jerusalem Road 20, is the designation of a combination of existing roads and new construction creating a continuous route between Jerusalem's Begin Highway (Highway 50) and Pisgat Ze'ev via Beit Hanina. The final cost expected to be NIS 150 million and be completed by April 2013.
