Mount Gerizim
Mount Gerizim is one of the two mountains in the immediate vicinity of the West Bank city of Nablus, and forms the southern side of the valley in which Nablus is situated, the northern side being formed by Mount Ebal. The mountain is one of the highest peaks in the West Bank and rises to 2849 feet (881 m) above sea level, 228 feet (69.5 m) shorter than Mount Ebal.
Huwwara Checkpoint
Huwwara checkpoint was a major Israel Defense Forces checkpoint at one of the four main exits from Nablus. It was established on October 2000 to prevent smuggling of explosive belts and weapons from Nablus to be used in terror attacks in Israel. The facility was named for the nearby village of Huwwara. The checkpoint has prevented the smuggling of significant amounts of explosives and other weapons. In 2004, soldiers apprehended a 12-year-old boy wearing an explosive belt.

An-Najah National University is a Palestinian non-governmental public university governed by a board of Trustees. It is located in Nablus, in the northern West Bank. The university has over 22,000 students and 300 professors in 19 faculties. It is the largest Palestinian university.
Mitzpe Yosef
Mitzpe Yosef is an Israeli settlement outpost in the West Bank. Located on Mount Gerizim near Nablus, it falls within the jurisdiction of Shomron Regional Council. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this. The population consists mostly of hasidic Jews belonging to the Breslov sect.
An-Nasr Mosque
An-Nasr Mosque is a mosque located in the Palestinian city of Nablus. It is situated in the central square of the Old City and is donned as the "symbol of Nablus". An-Nasr Mosque has a turquoise dome and its prayer room is located in the second floor of the building.
Abd al-Hadi Palace
The Abd al-Hadi Palace or Qasr Abd al-Hadi is a large palace located in the Qaryun quarter of the Old City of Nablus. It was built in the 19th century as a residence for the dominant Abd al-Hadi clan of the District of Nablus. It consists of three floors, arches, winding staircases, hidden courtyards, gardens, balconies, and built mainly of white limestone. The building was designed by Mahmud ´Abd al-Hadi himself, who was the governor at the time.
Al-Khadra Mosque
Al-Khadra Mosque also known as Hizn Sidna Yaq'ub Mosque (trans. Sadness of our Lord Jacob) is a mosque situated on the lower slopes of Mount Gerizim in the southwestern quarter of the Old City of Nablus in the West Bank. The mosque is rectangular in shape, and its minaret rises 30 meters .
Manara Clock Tower
The Manara Clock Tower is a clock tower located in the middle of the central square (casbah) in the Old City of Nablus next to the Nasr Mosque in the Palestinian territories. Five stories high, it was erected in 1906 on the orders of the Ottoman sultan Abdul Hamid II to celebrate thirty years of his reign. The tower is similar to those also built by Sultan Abdul Hamid in Tripoli and Haifa. The Manara Clock Tower has an ode to the sultan in elaborate Arabic calligraphy.
