Bethlehem University
Bethlehem University is the first university founded in the West Bank, Palestinian National Authority. Bethlehem University traces its roots to 1893 when the De La Salle Christian Brothers opened schools in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Jaffa, Nazareth, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt.
Gilo
Gilo is a large residential area in south-western East Jerusalem with a population of 40,000, mostly Jewish. It is widely considered an Israeli settlement because as one of the five Ring Neighborhoods built by Israel surrounding Jerusalem, it was built on land in the West Bank that was occupied by and annexed to Israel following the 1967 Six-Day War and 1980 Jerusalem Law. The international community regards Israeli settlements illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this.
Siege of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem
The Siege of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem lasted from April 2 to May 10, 2002 in Bethlehem in the West Bank. As part of Operation Defensive Shield, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) occupied Bethlehem and tried to capture wanted Palestinian militants. Dozens of them fled into the Church of the Nativity and sought refuge. Further more, there were some 200 monks and other Palestinians who arrived at the site for different reasons, and were held as hostages by the gunmen.
Manger Square
Manger Square is an important city square in the center of Bethlehem. It takes its name from the manger where Jesus is said to have been born which, according to Christian dogma, is in the Church of the Nativity, possibly the oldest existing church in the world, which surrounds the square. Also around Manger Square is the Mosque of Omar (the city's only mosque) and the Palestinian Peace Center.

The Mosque of Omar is the oldest and only mosque in the old city of Bethlehem, located in Manger Square, near the Church of the Nativity.
Palestinian Heritage Center
The Palestinian Heritage Center is a Palestinian cultural center located in Bethlehem. It was established in 1991 by Maha Saca. The center contains several exhibitions on Palestinian costumes, folklore, history, and other cultural aspects.
Jacir Palace
Jacir Palace or Qasr Jacir is the largest hotel in Bethlehem in the central West Bank. The building's original design was based on typical Palestinian architecture and the characteristics of an Arab household. Jacir Palace has three floors, each spanning 800 square meters. The newly-built hotel added an outdoor swimming pool, a health spa, two meeting rooms, 250 available rooms and eleven food and beverage outlets including restaurants and bars.
Badd Giacaman Museum
The Badd Giacaman Museum is located in the center of Bethlehem, near the Church of the Nativity. The building in which the museum was built dates from the 18th–19th century. From 1998 to 2000, the museum was restored by the Department of Antiquities, in coordination with the UNDP and the Greek Orthodox Society. The museum houses several ethnographic and archaeological artifacts depicting the process of olive oil production.
