Saddar is one of the neighbourhoods of Saddar Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Saddar is the central business district of Karachi. 'Saddar' generally means 'centre' (of the town) and also 'head' (of State or organization). Empress Market in Saddar is the central shopping area of Karachi. Karachi Municipal Corporation Building
The Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) Building is one of the many historic buildings located at M. A. Jinnah road and has evolved an iconic status as one of the landmark structures of Karachi. The foundation stone for the KMC Building was laid in 1927, construction was completed in 1930, followed by the inauguration in 1932. On January 7, 2007, City District Government of Karachi decided to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Building.
Lady Dufferin Hospital

Holy Family Hospital, Karachi
Holy Family Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, was founded in 1948 by the Medical Mission Sisters, a Roman Catholic religious order for women based in Philadelphia, USA. This was at a time when very few health care facilities existed in Pakistan. The founder of the Medical Mission Sisters, Doctor Anna Dengel arrived in 1920 in Rawalpindi to work as a mission doctor at the 16-bed St. Catherine's Hospital. Three of these Sisters worked together from 1967 to 2009 at the Hospital.
2009 Karachi floods
The 2009 Karachi floods in Pakistan's financial centre, Karachi, have killed at least 26 people. The death toll is expected to rise, and more than 150 people have been injured in a series of related incidents. The floods are the result of the heaviest rains in the region in thirty years. Hundreds of homes were also damaged. Those killed either drowned, were electrocuted or died under collapsing roofs.

2010 Karachi Beechcraft 1900 crash
The 2010 Karachi Beechcraft 1900 crash occurred on 5 November 2010, when a Jahangir Siddiqui Air Beechcraft 1900 crashed near Karachi, Pakistan, killing all 21 aboard. The pilot had reported trouble with the engine of the aircraft shortly before the accident. The casualties were burned beyond recognition, making it "impossible to tell if the people were men or women".

Saint Francis of Assisi Parish is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi in Pakistan. It is located on Siddiq Wahab Road in an area known as Old Haji Camp. 2012 Pakistan garment factory fires
Garment factories in the Pakistani cities of Karachi and Lahore caught fire on 11 September 2012. The fires occurred in a textile factory in the western part of Karachi and in a shoemaking factory in Lahore. The fires are considered to be the most deadly and worst industrial factory fires in Pakistan's history, killing 315 people and seriously injuring more than 250.
