Chitral (princely state)
Chitral (or Chitrāl) was a princely state of Pakistan and British India until 1969. The area of the state now forms the Chitral District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Kalash people
The Kalasha or Kalash, are a Dardic indigenous people residing in the Chitral District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. They speak the Kalasha language, from the Dardic family of the Indo-Iranian languages, and are considered a unique tribe among the Indo-Aryan peoples of Pakistan. The neighboring Nuristani people of the adjacent Nuristan (historically known as Kafiristan) province of Afghanistan once practiced the same polytheistic religion as the Kalash.

Domun is a village in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. It is located at 35°44'42N 71°47'56E with an altitude of 1901 metres (6240 feet).
Chitral Expedition
The Chitral Expedition was a military expedition in 1895 sent by the British authorities to relieve the fort at Chitral which was under siege after a local coup. After the death of the old ruler power changed hands several times. An intervening British force of about 400 men was besieged in the fort until it was relieved by two expeditions, a small one from Gilgit and a large one from Peshawar.
Bumburet
Bumburet is the largest valley of Kalasha Desh in Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Bumburet valley joins the Rumbur valley at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:35|44|20|N|71|43|40|E| | |name= }} (1640 m), and then joins the Kunar Valley at the village of Ayun, some 20 km south (downstream) of Chitral. To the west the valley rises to a pass connecting to Afghanistan's Nuristan Province at about 4500 m.
