Nowshera District
Nowshera is a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan - the principal city is Nowshera. Nowshera District is divided into 47 Union Councils and 5 provincial seats. The district was part of the Peshawar Metropolitan Region.
Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Nowshera - known locally as Nowkhaar is the chief city of Nowshera District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. It is also one of the largest cities of the province and lies on the Grand Trunk Road 27 miles due east of Peshawar at 34°0'55N 71°58'29E.
Risalpur
Risalpur is a city in Nowshera District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, on the Nowshera-Mardan Road. It is nearly 45 km from Peshawar and 15 km from Mardan and is located at 34°4'52N 71°58'21E. In a basin some 1014 feet above sea level, it is bounded on the south and west by the Kabul and Kalpani rivers, respectively. The famous Khyber Pass lies 90 kilometers to the north. Risalpur is known as "Home of Eagles" and "Home of Sappers".
Pakistan Air Force Academy
The Pakistan Air Force Academy (PAFA) is an accredited co-educational four-year military academy which provides undergraduate education to officer candidates for the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Located in the town of Risalpur in Nowshera District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, it is a premier cadet training institution of the Pakistan Air Force which offers academic professional degrees.
Peshawar Division
Peshawar Division was an administrative division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan until the reforms of 2000 abolished the third tier of government. At independence in 1947, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (then North-West Frontier Province) was split into two divisions, Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar. Until 1976, Peshawar Division contained the districts of Hazara and Kohat, when they both became divisions themselves.

It is located on the bank of the Kabul River at 34°2'44N 71°50'9E and has an altitude of 258 metres (849 feet). It was built by Zardad Khan Popalzay Durrani, who was the governor of the then Peshawar province under the Durrani Empire; he purchased the land and the village was built as a hunting place. This village was destroyed by floods in 2010 and is being rebuilt by the owners.
