Jarlsberg
Jarlsberg was a former countship that forms a part of today’s Vestfold county in Norway. The former countships of Jarlsberg and Larvik were merged into a county in 1821. Jarlsberg and Larvik’s County (Jarlsberg og Larviks amt) were renamed Vestfold in 1919. Created in 1673 as Griffenfeldt Countship (Griffenfeld grevskap), it was after a few years known as Tønsberg Countship (Tønsberg grevskap) until 1684, when the name became Jarlsberg.

The parish of Vaale was established as a municipality January 1, 1838. According to the 1835 census the municipality had a population of 2,408.

Selvik
Selvík is a small bay on the southside of Sørvágsfjørður. It is about one kilometer to the west of the village Sørvágur. From 1902 to sometimes in the 1920s Selvík was home to a whaling station, built by Norwegians. The Norwegians came to Sørvágur in March or April 1902, they came with the cargo ship "Viking" and with the Norwegian whaling boat "Norddeble". The factory was ready to use in June 1902.

Borre Golfbane
Borre Golfbane was opened with nine holes in 1990 and 18 holes the following year. In 2005 the course opened nine new holes, which were added to the first nine along lake Borrevannet. Borre Golfbane has hosted two Challenge Tour events: the first professional golf tournament on Norwegian soil, the Karsten Ping Norwegian Challenge in 1994, sponsored by Karsten Solheim, and in 1998, the Netcom Norwegian Open. The course is located in Norway near the small town Horten by the Oslofjord.
Hanekleiv Tunnel
The Hanekleiv tunnel is a road tunnel in Vestfold, Norway, one of seven along the European route E18 between Sande and Holmestrand. The tunnel became the centre of controversy on 25 December 2006 when part of the roof collapsed, and investigations revealed that several tunnels on the E18 through Vestfold were insufficiently secured. The tunnel was fully reopened on August 30, 2007.
Holmestrand Station
Holmestrand Station is a railway station on the Vestfold Line located in the town of Holmestrand in Vestfold, Norway. The station was opened in 1881 with the opening of the railway line. It is located 86.09 km from Oslo Central Station. The station is at an altitude of 4.8 meters above mean sea level. As well as serving Holmestrand, the station has become the primary choice for commuters in Horten who prefer this station to Skoppum Station.
Vestfold University College
Vestfold University College (Norwegian: Høgskolen i Vestfold, abbreviated as HiVe) is a university college, a Norwegian state institution of higher education, in the county of Vestfold, Norway. The university college's campuses were formerly located in Borre and Eik. From 2010 the whole university college was colocated at Campus Bakkenteigen in Horten. It was established August 1, 1994 by the merger of three previous university colleges, and has approximately 4000 students and 450 employees.
