Tromsø Bridge
The Tromsø Bridge is a cantilever road bridge in the city of Tromsø, in Troms county, Norway. It crosses the Tromsøysundet strait between Tromsdalen on the mainland and the island of Tromsøya. The 1,036-metre long bridge has 58 spans, of which the longest is 80 metres with a maximum clearance to the sea of 38 metres . Construction began in 1958 and the bridge was opened in 1960. At the time of its opening, it was the longest bridge in Northern Europe, with a length of 1,036 metres .

Tromsøya
Tromsøya is a small island in the Tromsøysundet strait between the mainland and Kvaløya island in Tromsø municipality, Troms county, Norway. It contains the city centre of Tromsø and several residential areas. The 22.8 square kilometres island has a population (2012) of 36,088, which gives the city a population density of 1,583 inhabitants per square kilometre . Tromsø Airport is situated on the western side of the island.
Arctic-alpine Botanic Garden
The Arctic-alpine Botanic Garden (Arktisk alpin Botanisk hage) is the world's northernmost botanic garden. It is located in Tromsø, Norway, and is run by the Tromsø University Museum. It opened in 1994, and is open from late May to early October. The garden displays Arctic and alpine plants from all over the northern hemisphere. Entrance is free of charge. The garden is located to the southeast of the University of Tromsø Campus, commanding a view of the mountains to the east and south.
Operation Obviate
Operation Obviate was the RAF Bomber Command attack on the German battleship Tirpitz at Tromsø on 29 October 1944. The attack was foiled by cloud covering the ship at the last minute, and the bombs that were dropped caused only minor damage. The Tirpitz would finally be sunk in Operation Catechism two weeks later.
Grønnåsen Church
Grønnåsen Church is a parish church in the municipality of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the Breivika area in the northern part of the city of Tromsø on the island of Tromsøya. The church is part of the Grønnåsen parish in the Tromsø arch-deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The gray wooden church was built in 1996 and it seats about 450 people.
