Arøya
Arøya is a group of isles located in the outer part of the Langesund fjord in Norway. The isles, in detail referred to as Store Arøy, Lille Arøy and Vesle Arøy ('Big', 'Small' and 'Tiny' Arøy), are situated approximately midway between the towns of Langesund and Helgeroa in the municipality of Larvik. Arøya is a typical recreational cottage area for the population in the Grenland area as well as cityslickers from the Norwegian capital Oslo a 1,5h drive away.
Grenland
Grenland is a traditional district in the county of Telemark, in the south of Norway. Located in the southeastern part of the county, Grenland is composed of the municipalities Skien, Porsgrunn, Bamble, Nome, and Siljan. Sometimes the municipalities Kragerø, and Drangedal are considered being part of the area. The region encompasses 1,794 km² and has 122,978 inhabitants (2004), which translates as 12% of the area and 64% of the population of Telemark.
Langesund
is the administrative centre of the municipality of Bamble, Norway. The town of Langesund was established as a municipality January 1, 1838. It was merged with Bamble January 1, 1964. In the early days, Langesund was one of the most important shipping towns in Norway. Peter Wessel Tordenskiold got one of his ships built in Langesund, Løvendals Gallej. It is possible to visit the remains of the old Coastal Fortress on Langesundstangen on the extreme end of the Langesund peninsula.

Brevik
is a town in Telemark, Norway, with an estimated population of 2,700. Brevik was established as a municipality 1 January 1838, but was merged with Porsgrunn on 1 January 1964. Brevik is regarded one of the best preserved towns from the sailing ship era. The town is located on the far end of Eidanger peninsula, and was a former export centre for ice and timber. The last shipment of wood to the United Kingdom was around 1960. Brevik is Cort Adeler's birth town.
Eidangerfjord
Eidangerfjord is a fjord located in Porsgrunn municipality in Telemark county, Norway. It is 6 km long, and stretches between Brevik and the island village of Sandøya. The largest island located in the fjord is Kattøya, located at the head of Eidangerfjord. The shipping harbor for the cement produced by Norcem is located at Brevik. Further in, on the west shore, lies the village of Heistad.
Brevik Bridge
Brevik Bridge is a bridge over the mouth of the Frierfjord which connects the municipalities of Bamble and Porsgrunn in Telemark county. On the west side, in Bamble, lies Stathelle, while on the east side lies Brevik in Porsgrunn. The bridge was opened in 1962, and was a part of E18 until 1996, when the E18 was rerouted via a new bridge, the Grenland Bridge (in Norwegian Grenlandsbrua) which lies further up the fjord.
Grenland Bridge
Grenland Bridge is Norway's highest cable-stayed bridge with a tower height of 168 metres . The bridge, which opened in 1996, is on route E18. It crosses the Frierfjord, a fjord which separates the municipalities of Porsgrunn and Bamble in Telemark county. When built, it replaced Brevik Bridge as the primary route across the fjord. The 608-metre long bridge uses cable stayed construction to provide clearance for vessels up to 50 metres in height.
Langesundsfjord
The Langesundsfjord, also known as the Breviksfjord (Norwegian: Langesundsfjorden or Breviksfjorden) is a stretch of fjord from northern Skagerrak, between the islands of Sandøya, Bjørkøya and Siktesøya in Porsgrunn municipality and the mainland of Bamble municipality, both in Telemark county in the southeastern part of Norway.

Herøya
Herøya is a peninsula in the municipality of Porsgrunn, Norway. It is located between the fjords of Frierfjord to the west and Gunneklevfjord to the east, at the mouth of Telemarksvassdraget. The name stems from the word hare because of the large number of these that is said to have inhabited the previous island (øya). The peninsula features a large industrial park that was founded in 1928 and contains major facilities of Norsk Hydro, Yara, and REC.
Nevlunghavn
Nevlunghavn is a village in Larvik municipality, Norway. Before the municipal merge in 1988 it was a part of Brunlanes municipality. Nevlunghavn has grown together with the adjacent village Helgeroa. The two villages have a combined population of 1,573. Helgeroa is a village in Larvik municipality, Norway. Before 1988 it was a part of Brunlanes municipality. Helgeroa has grown together with the adjacent village Nevlunghavn. The two villages have a combined population of 1,573.
Stråholmen
Stråholmen is a small island off the coast of Kragerø and Bamble in southern Telemark, Norway. The island is about 1.5 km long and 1 km wide at the widest, and lays approximately 2 km north of the island Jomfruland. Stråholmen faces the Skagerak seas to the east and provides shelter for the inner coast line. The name is Norwegian and literally translates to "The Islet of Straws".
Porsgrunn/Skien
Porsgrunn/Skien is an urban area consisting of parts of the municipalities Skien, Porsgrunn and Bamble. The urban area has a population of 85.408.
Eidanger Station
Eidanger Station is a disused railway station in Porsgrunn, Norway on the Vestfold Line. The station is the terminus of the Brevik Line and the traditional terminus of the Bratsberg Line, although the border between the Bratsberg and Vestfold Line has since been moved to Skien Station.
Full City oil spill
The Full City oil spill is a major fuel oil spill incident on 31 July 2009 when the Panama-registered, bulk carrier Full City operated by COSCO (H.K. ) Shipping Co. Ltd. ran aground on the island of Såstein / Saastein south of Langesund, Telemark, Norway spilling 700,000 kg of IFO-380 heavy fuel oil. As of April 2010 the ship was in Gothenburg for repairs in drydock.

Håøya is an island in Langesundfjorden in Porsgrunn municipality, Norway. Its area is 2.4 km². It is known among others from summer camps arranged by Oluf Reed-Olsen.

Full City
Full City is a Panama-flagged bulk carrier made infamous by running aground after an engine failure during a storm at the island of Saastein (Såstein) outside Langesund, Telemark, Norway, spilling 700 tons of heavy bunker fuel oil in a sensitive wildlife refuge area on 31 July 2009. Full City was built by Hakodate Dockyard Co. Ltd. in Hakodate, Hokkaidō, Japan in 1995. The vessel was pulled off the rocks and first towed to Brevik, and later to Gothenburg for full drydock repairs.

Løvøya, Telemark
Løvøya is an island in Ormefjorden in Porsgrunn municipality, Norway. On the island Morten Thrane Esmark found a black mineral which was sent to Swedish chemist Jöns Jakob Berzelius for examination in 1828 for further analysis. Berzelius determined that it contained a new element, which he named thorium after Thor, the Norse god of thunder.
St. Olav's Church (ruin)
St. Olav's Church ruin are the ruins of a stone church built before 1150 in the municipality of Bamble in Telemark county, Norway. The church was probably about four feet longer than the ruins suggests, and in this case, Telemark's largest stone church in former times. It had a number of unusual building features, including lektorium and a separate room for earthly values, which today is called "Mary's Chapel.
