Operation Woodlark
Operation Woodlark, also known as the Jørstadelva Bridge sabotage, was an operation carried out on 13 January 1945 by members of the Norwegian Independent Company 1 during World War II. The operation bore the code-name "Woodlark". The aim was to blow up a railway bridge in order to disrupt the railway Nordland Line in Snåsa, Norway.
Jørstad Station
Jørstad Station is a railway station in the village of Jørstad in the municipality of Snåsa in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The station was opened on 30 October 1926 when this section of the Nordland Line opened. It was originally just a small stop, but it was upgraded to a full station in 1930. In 1984 it was reduced to an unstaffed stop once again.
