Kjeller is a village located near Lillestrøm in the municipality of Skedsmo, Norway. It is located 25 kilometers north of Oslo.
Kjeller Airport
Kjeller Airport is a military and general aviation airport located in Kjeller, Norway, near Lillestrøm and 9 NM east northeast of Oslo. It has facilities for carrying out maintenance for aircraft belonging to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Aviation has a long history at Kjeller. Kjeller is Norway's first airport, built in 1912. In the first part of the 20th century there was a small aircraft factory building military planes. There is now a small aircraft museum.
Åråsen Stadion
Åråsen Stadion is an all-seater football stadium located in Lillestrøm, a suburb of Oslo in Skedsmo, Norway. With a capacity for 12,250 spectators, the venue is home of Norwegian Premier League side Lillestrøm SK (LSK). The venue has four stands, of which the West Stand has luxury boxes and club seating for 700. Because of the stadium's proximity to Kjeller Airport, it has retractable floodlights. Lillestrøm Station is a railway station located at Lillestrøm in Skedsmo, Norway. The station serves as the main transport hub of the eastern parts of Greater Oslo and all trains east of Oslo stop at Lillestrøm. The station is located on both the Gardermoen Line and the Trunk Line, and is the terminus of the Kongsvinger Line. The station served local, regional, airport express and express trains. It is also the terminus for the local trains between Lillestrøm and Asker.
