Blackwater River (New Zealand)
The Blackwater River is in the South Island of New Zealand, flowing into the Buller River between Westport and Inangahua Junction. The river was named due to the dark coloured waters the Māori discovered.
Ohikanui River
The Ohikanui River is a tributary of the Buller River in New Zealand's South Island. It flows north for 20 kilometres, joining the Buller 14 kilometres from its outflow into the Tasman Sea. It and its smaller neighbour the Ohikaiti River are often called the Big Ohika River and Little Ohika River respectively. The Ohikanui River is a medium sized tributary consisting of a bouldery river bed and clear swift water.
Buller District
Buller District, one of 53 districts of New Zealand, and is within the West Coast Region. It covers Westport, Karamea, Reefton and Inangahua Junction. Its land area is 7,953.12 km² (3,070.72 sq mi). The district is administered by the Buller District Council with the seat in Westport, in which 45% of the district's population live.
Ohikaiti River
The Ohikaiti River is a river of the West Coast Region of New Zealand's South Island. It flows north, paralleling the course of the larger Ohikanui River which lies two kilometres to the west. The Ohikaiti empties into the Buller River at the Buller Gorge, 15 kilometres southwest of Westport.
