Pukawa
Pūkawa / Pūkawa Bay is a bay and a small township on the western shores of Lake Taupo in New Zealand. It is off State Highway 41 between Turangi and Taumarunui. It is home of the Ngati Manunui hapu of Ngāti Tūwharetoa and the newly-opened Manunui-a-Ruakapanga marae, which was opened on 18 November 2006. The opening ceremony was attended by Tuheitia Paki, the Māori King.
Kuratau
Kuratau is a small village north of Omori, New Zealand, on the western side of Lake Taupo. The population in the 2006 census was 354 people in 138 households; 27.1 percent of the population was under 15 and 6.8 percent was over 65. Approximately 65% of the population is of European origin and approximately 30% is of Maori origin. The most commonly spoken language is English.
Kuratau River
The Kuratau River is a river of the centre of New Zealand's North Island. It flows generally eastwards, initially flowing southeast from its sources in rough hill country south of the Pureora Forest Park before turning northeast to reach the small Lake Kuratau. From here it flows east five further kilometres before flowing into the southwest of Lake Taupo close to the settlement of Kuratau.
