Mangahao River
The Mangahao River is located in the North Island of New Zealand. The headwaters are in the Tararua Ranges. The river flows northeast feeds into the Manawatu River south of Woodville. There are two dams on the river which tunnel water, via a third reservoir on the Tokomaru River, to the Mangahao Power Station located on the Mangaore Stream near Shannon.

Mangatainoka is a small settlement in northern Wairarapa Bush, New Zealand. It is located between Pahiatua to the south and Woodville to the north and is intersected by the Mangatainoka River. The 2001 New Zealand Census of Population and Dwellings gave its population as 1,617, consisting of 858 males and 759 females, representing a decline of 7.4% or 129 people since the 1996 census.
Mangatainoka River
The Mangatainoka River is a river that flows in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand's North Island. Its headwaters are on the eastern side of the Tararua Range to the southwest of the town of Eketahuna, and it roughly parallels the Wairarapa Line railway and State Highway 2 through the northern Wairarapa before meeting the Tiraumea River just before its confluence with the Manawatu River just south of Woodville.

Tiraumea River (Manawatu-Wanganui)
The northern Tiraumea River is a river of the Manawatu-Wanganui Region of New Zealand's North Island. The river rises in the rough hill country of eastern Wairarapa, just south of the settlement of Tiraumea. A tributary, Tiraumea Stream, drains the southern end of the Puketoi Range. The river flows west then north to reach the Manawatu River immediately above the highway and Rail bridges, five kilometres south of Woodville.
