Zoetermeer
Zoetermeer is a city in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality covers an area of 37.06 km² (of which 2.15 km² is water). A small village until the late 1960s, it had 6,392 inhabitants in 1950. By 1 January 2010 this had grown to 121,580, making it the third largest population centre in the province of South Holland, after Rotterdam and The Hague. It is part of the Haaglanden conurbation.

Leidschenveen-Ypenburg
Leidschenveen-Ypenburg is a Vinex-location in and district of The Hague, located in the southeast. It is geographically connected to the main body of the city by only a narrow corridor. It consists of four quarters: Hoornwijk and Ypenburg on the southwest of the A12 motorway and parallel railway to Utrecht, and Forepark and Leidschenveen on the northeast. Since 2005 the district has its own railway station, Den Haag Ypenburg, situated on the Gouda–Den Haag railway.

Abtsregt
Abtsregt is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was located about 4 km southeast of Delft. The municipality existed from 1817 to 1855, when it merged with Vrijenban. It had around 200 inhabitants at that time. According to historian Van der Aa, the name of the area ("Abbot's right") derives from an ancient privilege of the abbot of Egmond. Until 1595, he was entitled to choose the best property of any inhabitant of Abtsregt who died in the area.

Duivenvoorde Castle
Duivenvoorde Castle is a castle in the town of Voorschoten, South Holland, in the Netherlands. It was first mentioned in 1226, making it one of the oldest castles in South Holland. The castle is remarkable in that it has never been sold, which can be said of very few Dutch castles. It has passed by inheritance through several noble houses, sometimes through the matrilineal line.

Zegwaart (or Zegwaard) was a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was located directly to the east of Zoetermeer, and is now a district of Zoetermeer under the name Seghwaert. Zegwaart was a separate municipality until 1935, when it became part of Zoetermeer, using the archaic spelling of the locale's name. The old Zegwaart was a ribbon development along what remains until today as Zegwaartseweg, which is perpendicular to Dorpstraat.

The Technopolis Innovation Park Delft (or Technopolis) is a science park in Delft. It's a new centre for research and innovation that was started in 2005. Technopolis is located next to the campus of Delft University of Technology. The park covers 70 hectares (168 acres) which is available for companies and institutes conducting research and development activities.

Oosterheem is one of the districts (wijken) of Zoetermeer. It lies in the north-east, near Benthuizen. There is a lot of building going on, and it's one of the most recent districts of Zoetermeer. Oosterheem has 13,428 citizens, using 4,804 houses. It has a coverage of 363 ha (370,2 ha with water included).

Dutch Water Dreams (also known as DWD) is an Olympic artificial whitewater and surfing centre, near Zoetermeer in The Netherlands. It is the only course of its kind in the country.
Amstelhof
The Amstelhof (English: Amstel court), is a former retirement home and now home to the Hermitage Amsterdam museum. It was built near the Amstel river in 1682 by the diaconate of the Dutch Reformed Church after having received an inheritance of the rich merchant Barent Helleman. He died on 18 October 1680 and left approximately 90,000 guilders to the church. The city of Amsterdam donated the land on which it was built.
Vliet (canal)
The Vliet is a canal in the Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It starts at the Oude Rijn at Leiden and joins the Delfshavense Schie canal at Delft. Places along its banks include Voorschoten, Leidschendam, Voorburg, The Hague and Rijswijk. The canal was dug in 47 AD under command of Roman general Corbulo, who wished to connect river Rhine, of which the current Oude Rijn stream in Roman times was the main branch, to the Meuse estuary.
Ackerdijkse Plassen
Ackerdijkse Plassen is a nature reserve in Oude Leede, a village in the municipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp,. It is one of the most important bird areas in the Netherlands. In addition to 115 species of breeding birds, the ponds are visited annually by about eighty species of migratory birds, such as greenish warbler, Greater short-toed lark, short-eared owl, booted eagle, lesser spotted eagle, black crowned night heron and osprey. Konik provide grazing in the area.
Villa Rozenrust
Villa Rozenrust is a restaurant located in Leidschendam, in the Netherlands. It is a former fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the periods 1976-1989 and 1993-1999. One of the head chefs that worked here, was Cees Helder, later to become the first Dutch head chef to be rewarded three Michelin stars. Other head chefs were Huub Biro, Roberto de Luca, Christian van der Linden, Danny van Wessel and Luca Malagnino.
