' is a community in the eastern part of the town of Katwijk, in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The name means Rhine's Burg in Dutch.
Voorschoten
Voorschoten is a village and municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It is a smaller town in the Randstad, enclosed by the cities of Leiden, Wassenaar and The Hague. The municipality covers an area of 11.59 km² (of which 0.38 km² is covered by water). Recently, plans to merge into one municipality with Wassenaar have been introduced.

The former municipality of Valkenburg had about 3878 inhabitants (1 June 2005) and a surface area of 15.74 km² (6.08 mile²) of which 0.23 km² (0.09 mile²) is water.

Duivenvoorde Castle
Duivenvoorde Castle is a castle in the town of Voorschoten, South Holland, in the Netherlands. It was first mentioned in 1226, making it one of the oldest castles in South Holland. It has passed by inheritance through several noble houses, sometimes through the matrilineal line.
Veur
Veur is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It covered the northwestern part of the current town of Leidschendam. Veur was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1938, when it merges with Stompwijk to form the new municipality of Leidschendam.

The American School of The Hague (ASH) is an American school in Wassenaar, Netherlands. Children can attend the school for a maximum of 13 years, from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. It is one of three international high schools in the area.

Valkenburg Naval Air Base
Valkenburg Naval Air Base is a former air base located just south of Valkenburg, which is part of Katwijk and close to the city of Leiden, that was used by the Royal Netherlands Navy up until 2006, being their base for the Lockheed P-3 Orion aircraft, which were sold to Germany and Portugal, resulting in the closure of the air base.

The Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML) is an institute of the Faculty of Science of Leiden University in the Netherlands. The main area of work is research and education in the multidisciplinary field of environmental sciences. In 2009 the tenured and non tenured staff consists of about 28 fte including 4,5 fte supporting staff.
Amstelhof
The Amstelhof (English: Amstel court), is a former retirement home and now home to the Hermitage Amsterdam museum. It was built near the Amstel river in 1682 by the diaconate of the Dutch Reformed Church after having received an inheritance of the rich merchant Barent Helleman. He died on 18 October 1680 and left approximately 90,000 guilders to the church. The city of Amsterdam donated the land on which it was built.
Corpus (museum)
The Corpus Museum is a human biology interactive museum, located near Oegstgeest in the Netherlands. Billed as "a journey through the human body", the museum provides both education and entertainment through a combination of permanent and variable collections. Opened in 2008 by Queen Beatrix, the museum is the world's first museum of its type.
Brittenburg
The Brittenburg, or Lugdunum Batavorum, is a Roman ruin west of Leiden that was visible on the beach between Katwijk aan Zee and Noordwijk aan Zee after storms in the years of 1520, 1552 and 1562. It was quite a large complex located at the mouth of the Oude Rijn (old river Rhine), which today is believed to be about a kilometer westwards (offshore in the North Sea) of the current location of the European Space Research and Technology Centre.
Vliet (canal)
The Vliet is a canal in the Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It starts at the Oude Rijn at Leiden and joins the Delfshavense Schie canal at Delft. Places along its banks include Voorschoten, Leidschendam, Voorburg, The Hague and Rijswijk. The canal was dug in 47 AD under command of Roman general Corbulo, who wished to connect river Rhine, of which the current Oude Rijn stream in Roman times was the main branch, to the Meuse estuary.
De Beukenhof
De Beukenhof is a hotel-restaurant located in Oegstgeest in the Netherlands. It is a former fine dining restaurant that was awarded one or two Michelin stars since 1957 up to 1995. GaultMillau awarded them 13.0 points (out of 20). Head chef in the time of the Michelin stars was Coos Fulpen. He retired in 1995.

Auberge De Kieviet is a restaurant located in Wassenaar in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one or two Michelin stars in the period 1961-1991. In 1986 the restaurant was sold to Bob Goudsmit, at that time already owner of Molen de Dikkert. In 1992, Goudsmit went bankrupt and with him both restaurants. During the bankruptcy, it was sold to Tartuffe Holding, the company that owned Vreugd en Rust. In 2006 the Fletcher Group took over the hotel and restaurant.
Villa Rozenrust
Villa Rozenrust is a restaurant located in Leidschendam, in the Netherlands. It is a former fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the periods 1976-1989 and 1993-1999. One of the head chefs that worked here, was Cees Helder, later to become the first Dutch head chef to be rewarded three Michelin stars. Other head chefs were Huub Biro, Roberto de Luca, Christian van der Linden, Danny van Wessel and Luca Malagnino.
Chagall (restaurant)
Restaurant Chagali was a restaurant located in Leidschendam, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1983-1991. The restaurant closed down before 1993, as the Michelin Guide 1993 mentioned restaurant Green Park at that address.
