International Court of Justice

The International Court of Justice (French: Cour internationale de Justice; commonly referred to as the World Court or ICJ) is the primary judicial organ of the United Nations. It is based in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. Its main functions are to settle legal disputes submitted to it by states and to provide advisory opinions on legal questions submitted to it by duly authorized international organs, agencies, and the UN General Assembly.

De Blauwe Aanslag

Panorama Mesdag

Panorama Mesdag is a panorama by Hendrik Willem Mesdag. Housed in a purpose-built museum in The Hague, the panorama is a cylindrical painting (also known as a Cyclorama) more than 14 metres high and about 40 metres in diameter (120 metres in circumference). From an observation gallery in the centre of the room the cylindrical perspective creates the illusion that the viewer is on a high sand dune overlooking the sea, beaches and village of Scheveningen in the late 19th century.

Zuiderpark Stadion

Zuiderparkstadion was an 11,000-seat stadium in The Hague, in the Netherlands. It was the home of football club ADO Den Haag. For many years after the club's inauguration in 1905, they played football in many different temporary venues, eventually settling in the 'Zuiderpark' in 1925. The stadium was temporarily abandoned on 21 February 1945, near the end of World War II. The War left the club lacking funds with which to maintain the ground.

Museum Mesdag

The Museum Mesdag is an art museum in The Hague, The Netherlands. This is museum is housed in the former house of the Dutch painter Hendrik Willem Mesdag and shows the art Mesdag and his wife Sina van Houten have collected from 1866 to 1903. Kneuterdijk Palace, located in the Hague, was once a Royal Palace of the Kings of the Netherlands. Built in 1716 in the Louis XIV style, by architect Daniel Marot, it was first home to the Count of Wassenaar-Obdam. The palace served as a residence for King William II and his wife princess Anna Paulowna of Russia in the first half of the 19th century, when he was still the crown prince. Their grandson crown prince William used the palace from 1858 till his death in 1879.

Artiestenhof is a hofje in the Trompstraat in the Dutch city of The Hague. It is a side street by the Piet Hein. Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk (Great, or St. James Church) is a landmark Protestant church in The Hague, Netherlands. The building is located on the Torenstraat, named for its high tower. Queens Garden (restaurant)
