Netherlands Film and Television Academy
The Netherlands Filmacademy (NFA) was founded in 1958. The academy is the only recognised institute in the Netherlands that offers training to prepare for the work in the various crew disciplines. Specialisation is possible in fiction directing, documentary directing, screenwriting, editing, producing, sounddesign, cinematography, production design, and interactive multimedia/visual effects. The Netherlands Filmacademy is situated at Markenplein 1.
Rembrandt House Museum
The Rembrandt House Museum is a house in the Jodenbreestraat in Amsterdam not far from the new townhall, where Rembrandt lived and painted for a number of years. A few years ago the house was thoroughly reconstructed on the inside to show how the house would have looked in Rembrandt's days. Adjoining (and linked to) the house is a modern building where work of Rembrandt is on display, mainly etchings and also a part of his collection of objects from all over the world.
Nieuwmarkt
Nieuwmarkt ("New market") is a square in the centre of the Dutch capital Amsterdam. The surrounding area is known as the Nieuwmarktbuurt (Nieuwmarkt district). The square is located in Amsterdam's Chinatown, next to the De Wallen. There are over 20 cafés and coffeeshops facing the square. There is a daily market on the square, as well as an organic food market on Saturdays and a market for antiques and books on Sundays in the summer months.
Markenplein
Markenplein is the name of a square in the centre of Amsterdam. Until 1970, it was called het oude Markenpleintje and before World War II it used to be a part of the Jewish district of Amsterdam. The name Markenplein symbolizes the bond between the new neighborhood and the old Jewish neighborhood. The pavement pattern was designed by the American artist Sol LeWitt.
Jodenbreestraat
The Jodenbreestraat ("Jewish Broad Street") is a street in the centre of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The street connects the Sint Antoniesluis sluice gates to the Mr. Visserplein traffic circle. The street was home to the painter Rembrandt. Philosopher Baruch Spinoza was born in a house that stood on the spot where the Mozes en Aäronkerk church now stands.

The Amsterdamse Toneelschool&Kleinkunstacademie is a school for dramatic arts in Amsterdam, and a course of de Theaterschool which is a faculty of the Amsterdam School of the Arts. It runs a four year Bachelor's degree course, intended for new stage, film, cabaret and musical actors. The staff of instructors and guest instructors amounts to about sixty persons, nearly all also in active in the theatrical field.

The Montelbaanstoren is a tower on bank of the canal Oudeschans in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The original tower was built in 1516 for the purpose of defending the city. The top half, designed by Hendrick de Keyser, was extended to its current, decorative form in 1606.

Café ‘t Mandje is a bar in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It is located in Zeedijk street, and is considered to be the first gay bar in the Netherlands and one of the first in the world. It was opened in 1927 by Bet van Beeren, herself a lesbian. The Amsterdams Historisch Museum holds the replica of ‘t Mandje.

Waag (Amsterdam)
The Waag is a 15th-century building on Nieuwmarkt square in Amsterdam. It was originally a city gate and part of the walls of Amsterdam. The building has also served as a guildhall, museum, fire station and anatomical theatre, among others. The Waag is the oldest remaining non-religious building in Amsterdam. The building has held rijksmonument status since 1970. The Waag is depicted in Rembrandt's 1632 painting The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp.
