The Museumplein (English: Museum Square) is a square in the borough Amsterdam South in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Located at the square are three major museums - the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Stedelijk Museum - and the concert hall Concertgebouw. Hilton Amsterdam
The Hilton Amsterdam is a five star hotel in Apollobuurt, Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. It is located at Apollolaan 138 along the Noorder Amstelkanaal, a canal connected to the Amstel river. The hotel opened officially in 1962 and is a branch of the Hilton Hotels chain. It is famous for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Bed-In" for peace which was staged in 1969 to protest the Vietnam War and other conflict.
Marie Heinekenplein
The Marie Heinekenplein ("Marie Heineken Square") is a square in Amsterdam, popularly known as Heinekenplein. The circle-shaped square is used for various events, such as a book market and an open-air cinema. Marie Heinekenplein was constructed in the early 1990s. It lies just outside the city centre, in the neighbourhood of De Pijp, along the street Ferdinand Bolstraat. The street Quellijnstraat runs along the southern edge of the square. Tram lines 16 and 24 have a stop near the square.
P.C. Hooftstraat
The P.C. Hooftstraat is a shopping street in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In 1876 it was named after Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft (1581–1647), a Dutch historian, poet and playwright. The street is located in the stadsdeel Amsterdam Oud-Zuid and runs from the Stadhouderskade to the Vondelpark. It is crossed by the Hobbemastraat and the Van Baerlestraat.
Ferdinand Bolstraat
The Ferdinand Bolstraat is a street in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The street was named after the artist Ferdinand Bol in 1872. Well-known buildings include the original Heineken brewery (now home to the Heineken Experience) at the northern end of the street and the five-star, 23-floor Okura Hotel, a 78 metres tall building which, when completed in 1971, was the second-tallest in the city of Amsterdam.
De Appel
De Appel arts centre is an internationally focused contemporary arts centre, located in Amsterdam. Since it was founded in 1975, the goal of de Appel is to function as a stage for research and presentation of visual arts. Exhibitions, publications and discursive events are the main activities of de Appel. In 1994, Saskia Bos established an intensive course, called 'The Curatorial Programme'. Over a period of eight months a selective group of five to six people are trained to become a curator.

Blauwe Theehuis
The Blauwe Theehuis ("Blue Tea House") is a 1930s Modernist pavilion in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It is a ring-shaped building, somewhat reminiscent of a flying saucer. Originally a tea house, it is now (2010) in use as a café and restaurant, surrounded by outside seating. The Blauwe Theehuis is also used for theatre performances, festivals, weddings, and other events. The building has rijksmonument (national monument) status.
Cornelis Schuyt
Cornelis Floriszoon Schuyt (1557 – 9 June 1616) was a Dutch organist and Renaissance composer. Cornelis Floriszoon Schuyt was born in Leiden in 1557. He was the son of Floris Corneliszoon Schuyt (1529/30–1601), the organist of two churches in Leiden, the Pieterskerk and the Hooglandse Kerk. Schuyt made a study journey to Italy, where he was introduced to Renaissance music. In 1593, Schuyt became an organist in the Pieterskerk and the Hooglandse Kerk, alongside his father.
The Rape of Europa (Reni)
The Rape of Europa is a painting commissioned by Władysław IV Vasa from the Italian artist Guido Reni, completed between 1637 and 1639 and showing the abduction of Europa by Zeus in the form of a bull. It was later collected by Denis Mahon, who loaned it to the National Gallery, where it is still on display.

Restaurant De Kersentuin is a restaurant located in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1985-1992. Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 13 out of 20 points. The restaurant was famous not only because of the Michelin star, but also because it belonged to the front runners of the nouvelle cuisine. In 2003, Sistersmans admitted that he and Joop Braakhekke did not understand the real nouvelle cuisine.
De Trechter
Restaurant De Trechter was a restaurant located in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1985-1995. Owner and head chef of De Trechter was Jan de Wit. De Wit closed down De Trechter and moved on to restaurant De Nederlanden, after a conflict about bins and binbags with the municipality of Amsterdam.
