Piet Hein Tunnel
The Piet Hein Tunnel is a 1.9 km long tunnel under an inlet of the IJsselmeer in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It provides a road link running east-west between the city center and the A10 ring-road, and since May 2005 also provides a tram link between the Amsterdam Centraal railway station and Haveneiland, IJburg.
IJ (Amsterdam)
The IJ (sometimes shown on old maps as "Y" or "Ye") is a lake, formerly a bay, in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is known for being Amsterdam's waterfront. Sometimes it is wrongly considered as a river. Dutch people simply call it the IJ, a Dutch word fallen into disuse meaning water. This name derives from the West Frisian word ie "stream, small river" and is cognate with Dutch Aa/Ee names for bodies of water.
't Nopeind
't Nopeind is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Amsterdam, and lies about 7 km northeast of the city centre, just north of Zunderdorp. 't Nopeind is a part of the deelgemeente (sub-municipality) Amsterdam-Noord. The hamlet has about 35 inhabitants.

Amsterdam-Noord (in English: Amsterdam-North or North Amsterdam) is an autonomous stadsdeel of Amsterdam. The area is located north of the IJ, the body of water which separates it from central Amsterdam and the rest of the city. On the northwest and northern side it borders the municipalities of Zaanstad, Oostzaan, Landsmeer and Waterland.
Oosterkerk
The Oosterkerk ("eastern church") is a 17th-Century Dutch Reformed church in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Oosterkerk was built in the period 1669-1671 by architect Daniël Stalpaert and completed by Adriaan Dortsman. The church bells were cast by Pieter Hemony. The layout of the church is in the shape of a Greek cross in which the space between the arms has been partially filled by lower volumes. On the canal side is the main entrance, the elevation of which is supported by a balustrade.

Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ
Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ is a concert hall for contemporary classical music on the IJ in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The building opened in 2005 and is located above the IJtunnel, a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal station. The building was designed by Danish architects 3XN. The Bimhuis is part of and partly integrated in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. The first director was Jan Wolff (2005–2008); Tino Haenen has been artistic director since June 2008.
Bimhuis
The Bimhuis is a concert hall for jazz and improvised music in Amsterdam. With an average of 150 performances a year the Bimhuis is the main stage for these musical genres in the Netherlands. The Bimhuis was founded in 1973. Until the summer of 2004 it was located at Oude Schans 73-77 in the centre of the city. Since January 2005 it is housed in a new building at the Piet Heinkade 3, next to the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, on the southern bank of the IJ river.
Brouwerij 't IJ
Brouwerij 't IJ is a small brewery in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located in a former bath house named Funen, next to the De Gooyer windmill. The brewery was opened by Kaspar Peterson, a former musician, in October 1985 and was one of several small breweries that opened in cities around the Netherlands in respose to consumers' dissatisfaction with beer brewed by the larger companies. It currently brews five standard beers and four seasonal beers, besides occasional beers.

The Dappermarkt draws visitors from the all over the Netherlands.
Flevopark
Flevopark is a park located in the Indische Buurt, in the eastern portion of the city of Amsterdam, in the Dutch province of Noord-Holland. This park was given concrete form in 1908. The naturalist Jac. P. Thijsse envisioned a park between the Jewish Cemetery and the Nieuwe Diep. The expropriation procedure began in 1914, and from 1921 there was money available to obtain the land suitable for building the park. In 1928, the construction of the park began. The park officially opened in 1931.

Dubbeltjespanden
De Dubbeltjespanden was the name of one big house block at the start of the Czaar Peterstraat and Blankenstraat in Amsterdam. The houses have been built in the 1880s. It was one of the first social housing projects in the Netherlands. It has been named de Dubbeltjespanden because the residents paid for rental one "dubbeltje" per week to be able to become owners. But this project never materialised. A few years ago this block appeared in the news because a gas leak destroyed several houses.
