Amstelveen
Amstelveen is a suburban municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is part of the metropolitan area of Amsterdam. The municipality of Amstelveen consists of the following villages and/or districts: Amstelveen, Bovenkerk, Westwijk, Bankras-Kostverloren, Groenelaan, Waardhuizen, Randwijk, Elsrijk, Keizer Karelpark, Nes aan de Amstel, Ouderkerk aan de Amstel (partly). The name Amstelveen comes from 'Amstel', a local river, and 'veen', meaning fen, peat, or moor.
International School Amsterdam
The International School of Amsterdam (founded in 1964) is a private international school located in the city of Amstelveen. It hosts students from over 60 countries from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade (ages 3-18). The official language and language of instruction of the school is English. Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish are offered as additional languages. Around 50 other languages are spoken within the school community.

The Hermann Wesselink College is a secondary school in The Netherlands in Amstelveen. The school is named after Hermann Wesselink, a school principal who died at an early age, soon after retirement. VRA Cricket Ground
VRA Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, the home of VRA Amsterdam since 1939. Museum Jan van der Togt
Museum Jan van der Togt is a modern visual art museum in Amstelveen, Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It was established by 1991 by Jan van der Togt, an industrialist and founder of the company Tomado who was a collector of contemporary art. He wanted his collection to remain together and formed a foundation for this. Besides a permanent collection of paintings and sculptures, the museum has an important collection of modern glass art.
Molen de Dikkert
Molen De Dikkert is a former restaurant located in a windmill in Amstelveen, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1983-1992. Restaurant De Dikkert went bankrupt in 1992. During the bankruptcy settlement, the restaurant, owned by Bob Goudsmit, was sold to Yen Ho Kai, who kept the restaurant running. Arjan van Dijk was head chef in the time of the Michelin stars.

Aan de Poel is a fine-dining restaurant in Amstelveen, Netherlands that was awarded one Michelin star for the period 2009–2012. For 2013, it carries two Michelin stars. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points. Head chef of Aan de Poel is Stefan van Sprang. Before starting their own restaurant, Sprang and his sommelier Robbert Jan Veuger have worked together at restaurant Ron Blaauw. The restaurant joined the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise in 2012.
