Egmond aan den Hoef is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Bergen, and lies about 7 km west of Alkmaar. Until 2001, Egmond aan den Hoef was part of the municipality of Egmond. In 2001 Egmond aan den Hoef had 2491 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.42 km², and contained 922 residences. The wider statistical area of Egmond aan den Hoef had a population of around 3540, which had risen to 3920 by end 2008.

Butterhuizen
Butterhuizen, part of the municipality of Heerhugowaard, is a newly constructed village in the province of North Holland, the Netherlands. Butterhuizen lies to the south of Heerhugowaard. It has about 1,200 houses, and was built during the late 1980s and early 1990s, all the construction work being finished in late 1993. Since 1994 all the streets have been paved.
Bakkum
Bakkum is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum and lies about 12 km southwest of Alkmaar. It is the oldest village in Castricum and the closest to the shore. In 2001, the town of Bakkum had around 2680 inhabitants. This includes the neighbourhood of Bakkum-Noord (550 inhabitants) which is sometimes identified as a separate village.

Achterdam
The Achterdam is a red light district in the Dutch city of Alkmaar, 30 km North of Amsterdam. It is situated about 10 minutes walk from the Alkmaar train station. It is a 150 m long street with window prostitution on both sides. The area has about 100 windows with rooms. Mainly Eastern-Europe women are working here.
Akersloot
Akersloot is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 9 km south of Alkmaar. Until 1 January 2002, Akersloot was a separate municipality. In 2001, the town of Akersloot had 4347 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.81 km², and contained 1657 residences. The wider statistical area of Akersloot has a population of around 5080.
Koedijk
Koedijk is a village in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is now a part of Langedijk, but before 1972 it was a separate municipality. Koedijk is most famous for its annual Gondelvaart. This gondelvaart is held every year on the 3rd Saturday in August.
Alkmaarderhout
The Alkmaarderhout, more commonly known as the "Hout" was a multi-purpose stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. Until 2006 it was used mostly for football matches as the home ground of Eredivisie team AZ. The stadium had a capacity of 8,914 people and was built in 1948. In 2006 it was replaced by the brand new, state of the art DSB Stadion and the Hout has been knocked down, possibly to make way for a new housing development.
De Woude
De Woude is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 9 km south of Alkmaar. Until 1 January 2002, De Woude belonged to the municipality of Akersloot. The statistical district "De Woude" has a population of around 140. This includes the hamlet Stierop, south of the village of De Woude.
AFAS Stadion
AFAS Stadion, formerly called DSB Stadion is a stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It is used for football matches and is the home stadium of AZ. The stadium is able to hold 17,000 people and it officially opened on 4 August 2006 with a friendly against Arsenal. AZ lost the match 3–0, with Gilberto Silva scoring the stadium's first ever goal. The first Eredivisie game against NAC Breda was won 8–1 by the home team with the German midfielder Simon Cziommer scoring a hat-trick.
Oudorp
Oudorp is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is located in the municipality of Alkmaar, about 2 km east of the city centre. Oudorp was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1972, when it was merged with Alkmaar.

Wimmenum
Wimmenum is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is located in the municipality of Bergen, about 2 km north of Egmond aan den Hoef. Wimmenum was a separate municipality from 1817 to 1857, when it was merged with Egmond-Binnen.

Stad van de Zon (City of the Sun) is a housing and building project in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands, based on a concept developed by Bert Smolders, then urban planner with Kuiper Compagnons, and further concretised by the renowned architect and urban planner Ashok Bhalotra. The goal was and is to build homes that always point to the sun and that a big part of the energy that those homes use solar power.
Egmond Abbey
Egmond Abbey or St. Adalbert's Abbey (Dutch: Abdij van Egmond, Sint-Adelbertabdij) is a Benedictine monastery of the Congregation of the Annunciation between Egmond aan den Hoef and Bakkum in Egmond-Binnen in the municipality of Bergen in the Dutch province of North Holland. Founded in 975 and destroyed in the Reformation, it was re-founded in 1935 as the present Sint-Adelbertabdij, under the Diocese of Haarlem.
Kapel, North Holland
Kapel is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is located in the municipality of Heiloo, about 2 km south of Heiloo itself. The hamlet is named after the chapel of "Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Nood", a pilgrimage site since 1409. Formerly, it was also known as Oesdom.

GaultMillau awarded them 16.0 points (out of 20). The restaurant has a quiet, classic, non-experimental style of cooking. Head chef Thorvald de Winter and his brother Maître Gaylord de Winter do not offer adventurous experiences but prefer to show the quality of products. According to Diningcity.
Merlet
Merlet is a hotel and restaurant in Schoorl. It was awarded a Michelin star in 1998, and has held it since. GaultMillau awarded them 15.0 points (out of 20). It was named of Dutch restaurant of the year 2012 by restaurant guide Grootspraak. Merlet is member of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise. Head chef Alan Pearson was the first chef to be awarded a Michelin star. In 2001 he was succeeded by Wilco Berends, who in turn was succeeded by Timo Munts in 2007. Both managed to retain the star.
Glastronome
Glastronome is a former restaurant located in Limmen, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1980-1985. Head chef in the time of the Michelin star was Jaap Istha. Restaurant Glastronome closed down in 1987.
