Zaltbommel
Zaltbommel [zɑɫdˈbɔməɫ zɑɫdˈbɔməɫ] is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands. The town of Zaltbommel was first mentioned as "Bomela" in the year 850. Zaltbommel first received city status in 1231, which status was renewed in 1316. Drunen is a town with a population of 17,783 (1 January 2008) in the municipality of Heusden in the southern Netherlands. Drunen is part of a region called the Langstraat ('long road') which is historically known for its leather and shoe industry. Since 1813, Drunen has been a separate municipality, consisting of the towns Drunen, Elshout, and Giersbergen. The center of Drunen is a plaza surrounded by the Sint-Lambertuskerk and city hall.

Vlijmen is a town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Heusden, about 6 km west of 's-Hertogenbosch. Vlijmen was a separate municipality between 1821 and 1997. It was created from part of the former municipality Vlijmen en Engelen. After Haarsteeg and Nieuwkuijk were added to it in 1935, Vlijmen as municipality ceased to exist when it became part of Heusden in 1997.
Zuilichem
Zuilichem is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Zaltbommel, and lies about 11 km east of Gorinchem. Zuilichem was a separate municipality until 1955, when it was merged with Brakel. In 2001, the village of Zuilichem had 764 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.19 km², and contained 298 residences.
Hedel
Hedel is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Maasdriel, and lies about 7 km northwest of 's-Hertogenbosch. Hedel was a separate municipality until 1999, when it was merged with Maasdriel. In World War II, there were a lot of fights in Hedel, especially during the month April 1945 when the armies of the Princess Irene Brigade came to liberate the town.

Bern, Netherlands
Bern (formerly sometimes "Beern", "Berne", or "Beerne") is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Zaltbommel, about 10 km south of the town Zaltbommel. Bern used to lie south of the Meuse River, in the municipality of Herpt en Bern. The river was dammed close to Bern around 1900, and a new channel was dug south of the village, the Bergsche Maas.
Heusden Canal
The Heusden Canal is a canal on the border of the Dutch provinces North Brabant and Gelderland, roughly between Wijk en Aalburg and Heusden. The canal connects the Afgedamde Maas and Bergsche Maas and has a total length of approximately 2.3 km. On the Bergsche Maas end, there is a lock named the Kromme Nolkering, and also the only bridge across the canal; it is part of the N831. Creation of the canal was required under the Maasmondwet ("Maas Mouth Act") of 26 January 26, 1883.
Duinrand
Restaurant Duinrand was a restaurant located in Drunen, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1985-1995. First owner and head chef was Menno Huybrechts. In 1992, he sold the restaurant to Wulf Engel. The restaurant closed down in 2002, due to bankruptcy.
De Fuik (restaurant)
De Fuik is a restaurant located in Aalst in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 2008-2011. GaultMillau did not award the restaurant any points, but retained it in its Guide. The restaurant has lost its rating due to the new owner/head chef coming in. Owner and head chef of De Fuik is Marco Poldervaart. Head chefs in the period of the Michelin star were Ton Verhaar (2008-2009) and Ralph Drost (2009-2011).
