Het Loo Palace
Het Loo Palace (meaning "The Woods Palace") is a palace in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. The symmetrical Dutch Baroque building was designed by Jacob Roman and Johan van Swieten and was built between 1684 and 1686 for stadtholder-king William III and Mary II of England. The garden was designed by Claude Desgotz. The palace was a residence of the House of Orange-Nassau from the 17th century until the death of Queen Wilhelmina in 1962. The building was renovated between 1976 and 1982.
Veluwe
The Veluwe is a forest-rich ridge of hills (1100 km²) in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. The Veluwe features many different landscapes including woodland, heath, some small lakes and Europe's largest sand drifts. The Veluwe is the largest push moraine complex in the Netherlands, stretching 60 km from north to south, and reaching heights of up to 110 metres. The Veluwe was formed by the Saalian glacial during the Pleistocene epoch, some 200,000 years ago.

Lieren
Lieren is a village in the Netherlands in the municipality of Apeldoorn. It is situated about 8 km (2 miles) south-east of the city centre of Apeldoorn and 2 km east of Beekbergen. It has about 1124 inhabitants. Despite its size, Lieren has a primary school, a bakery and a few DIY-stores. Most of its income come from tourism, with the Veluwe close at hand and multiple camping sites nearby. Also, a steam-train station belonging to the VSM attracts many tourists.

', known as Fly Brazil/Desko-stadion' for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-use stadium in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of AGOVV Apeldoorn. The stadium is able to hold 3,259 people and was built in 2002.

Beekbergen is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Apeldoorn, about 5 km south of that city. Beekbergen was a separate municipality until 1818, when it became a part of Apeldoorn. The railway station is home to a steam railway that runs from Dieren to Apeldoorn operated by the Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij, The VSW engine sheds are located at Beekbergen.
Vaassen
Vaassen is one of four villages in the Dutch municipality Epe. Vaassen is situated between Apeldoorn and Zwolle, on the eastern edge of the Veluwe in the province of Gelderland and has 12,719 inhabitants (2008). Vaassen was an independent municipality up to 1 January 1818, when it merged with Epe.
Assel, Gelderland
Assel is a hamlet in the municipality of Apeldoorn in the Netherlands, located close to the village of Hoog Soeren. Assel is located roughly 12 kilometres west of Apeldoorn. Assel is a hamlet comprising twelve houses, a burial site, a chapel (the chapel of the Holy Spirit), a camping site and a restaurant. In the past Assel was known for iron mining. Assel used to have its own train station.

The village is located in the Southern part of the Veluwe and close to the national park Hoge Veluwe and the Deelerwoud. It is a very touristic village, with a large number of camping sites, recreation parks, restaurants, hotels and shops.
Ugchelen
Ugchelen is part of the municipality of Apeldoorn in the Gelderland province of the Netherlands, and is today seen as a neighbourhood of Apeldoorn. Ugchelen is located South West of Apeldoorn and has about 7000 inhabitants. Just like Apeldoorn, the old village thanked its growth to the paper industry, it had a total of 11 Watermills. Although Ugchelen is nearly merged with Apeldoorn, it still has its small town charm.

Woeste Hoeve
De Woeste Hoeve is a place in the Netherlands near Apeldoorn which is remembered for an incident in the Second World War when, during the night of 6 March 1945, Dutch resistance fighters shot the Nazi Chief of Police, SS General Hans Rauter. The shooting occurred accidentally when a group of six resistance fighters were on an assignment to capture a German truck so that they could steal food intended for the Germans. They chose Woeste Hoeve because of its remote location.

2009 attack on the Dutch Royal Family
The 2009 attack on the Dutch Royal Family occurred on 30 April at Apeldoorn, Netherlands, when a man drove his car at high speed into a parade which included Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem-Alexander and other members of the Royal Family. The occasion of the attack was the Dutch national holiday of Koninginnedag (or Queen's Day). The vehicle drove through people lining the street watching the parade, resulting in eight deaths and ten injuries.

The Omnisport Apeldoorn is a velodrome and multisport indoor arena in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Designed by FaulknerBrowns Architects the facility opened in 2008, it is divided into two halls: a cycling hall containing 250 m cycling track and 200 m athletics track and a volleyball hall. The cycling hall has a capacity for 5000 spectators while the volleyball hall has a capacity for 2000 spectators.
