Drogeham
Drogeham is a small town of about 1,600 inhabitants in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is in a rural area of the municipality of Achtkarspelen. Agriculture still plays an important part in the town, but small-scale industry is on the increase. Many people have their jobs in nearby larger towns like Drachten, Surhuisterveen, and Leeuwarden. The most common language is still West Frisian although there are more and more people coming to Drogeham who have Dutch as their mother-language.
Boelenslaan
Boelenslaan is a small town in Achtkarspelen municipality in Friesland province in the northern Netherlands. Boelenslaan has 1186 inhabitants and is named from its founder Mr. Boelens, after whom it was named. "Laan" - avenue; the road through the village used to be a sandy road and is still bearing the name Boelenswei ("wei" being the West Frisian word for "road".
Opeinde
Opeinde is a village in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is a part of the municipality of Smallingerland, and lies about 5 km north of Drachten. In 2004, Opeinde had 1760 inhabitants. This year the local council of Smallingerland decided to build a new neighbourhood in Opeinde with the help of The Crowds. Internetusers can leave their ideas for the new neighbourhood on a special website. The council wil decide which ideas will become reality early 2009.
Lauswolt
Lauswolt is an estate in Beetsterzwaag, Friesland, the Netherlands, dating back to the 17th century. The estate is currently being used as a hotel. The restaurant, called De Heeren van Harinxma, had a Michelin star between 2001 and 2006. Lauswolt was the location of talks between CDA, Labour Party and ChristianUnion for the formation of a new government. The negotiations were intended to be secret, but De Telegraaf newspaper revealed Lauswolt as the location on the very first day of the talks.
Drachten Airfield
Drachten Airfield is a small general aviation airfield in the Netherlands located in the province of Friesland, 1 NM northeast of Drachten. It has one runway, 08/26, with an asphalt/concrete surface and a length of 950 m . Customs services are available upon request to allow international flights. The airfield was constructed in the 1950s by the Philips electronics company, which has a factory in Drachten.

Skûlenboarch is a hamlet in Tytsjerksteradiel in the province Friesland of the Netherlands. The hamlet lies south of Jistrum, every house north of Princess Margriet Canal falls officially under Jistrum. The houses south of the canal are officially part of Eastermar. A bridge connects the two halves of Skûlenboarch with each other. The Joost Wiersmawei(road) connects the hamlet with Jistrum and a cycling path connects the yacht harbour with Skûlenboarch.

Former Protestant church of Eastermar
The former Protestant church of Eastermar was a church that stood in It Heechsân, Eastermar, Netherlands. It was demolished in 1868. Today only the medieval tower from the 13th century remains. The church is located far out of the center of the village on the Torenlaan 11 and is surrounded by a graveyard. Next to the tower stands a grave diggers building. The mechanical clockwork in the tower was made by the Gebr. van Bergen from Midwolda, Groningen in 1924.
Protestant church of Drogeham
The Protestant church of Drogeham or Saint Nicholas church is a church in Drogeham, Netherlands. The current church was built in 1876 on the site of an older church build in the 13th century. The church is built against the 13th century tower of the old church and on top of the tower it is a gable roof. The old church was a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Nicholas but became a Protestant church after the Protestant Reformation. The church located on Tsjerkebuorren 4.
Koriander (restaurant)
Restaurant Koriander is a restaurant located in Drachten, in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded one Michelin star from 1999 to present. Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 13 points out of 20 In 1997 and 1998, Michelin awarded the restaurant a Bib Gourmand, signalling good food for a reasonable price. Head chef of Koriander is Jan Gaastra. Restaurant Koriander was originally located in Bergum. In January 2000, the restaurant moved to Drachten.
