Leeuwarder Courant
The Leeuwarder Courant is the oldest daily newspaper in the Netherlands. Founded by Abraham Ferwerda, it first appeared in 1752. The Leeuwarder Courant was the first paper in the Dutch province Friesland and its capital Leeuwarden. It is considered a "popular" (as opposed to "quality") newspaper.

Leeuwarden Air Base
Leeuwarden Air Base is a military airbase used by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) - Dutch: Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu),. The airbase is one of the two F-16 Fighting Falcon bases of the RNLAF. The airbase lies North-West of the capital of Friesland, Leeuwarden. Leeuwarden Air Base is also one of the three military airbases, which organises the annual public open days of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, consisting of an air show and static exhibits.

Slauerhoffbrug
The Slauerhoffbrug (English: Slauerhoff Bridge) is a fully automatic bascule bridge (aka tail bridge) in the city of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. It uses two arms to swing a section of road in and out of place within the road itself. It is also known as the “Slauerhoffbrug ‘Flying’ Drawbridge”. A tail bridge can quickly and efficiently be raised and lowered from one pylon (instead of hinges). This quickly allows water traffic to pass while only briefly stalling road traffic.

Protestant church of Goutum
The Protestant church of Goutum or Saint Agnes church is a medieval religious building in Goutum, Friesland, Netherlands. On the north side remnants of the an older tufa church from the 11th century or 12th century can be seen. The church was enlarged and heightened with brick in the 15th century and has a tower from the same century. The church was originally a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Agnes, becoming a Protestant church after the Protestant Reformation.
Protestant church of Bears
The Protestant church of Bears or Saint Mary church is a religious building in Bears, Netherlands, one of the medieval churches in Friesland. The early Gothic nave was built in the 13th century and the quintuple closed choir dates from the 14th century, both are build out of yellow and red brick. In 1857 the original tower was replaced by a new one.

It is an early 13th-century building with a tower that dates from 1550-1567. The historic pipe organ was built in 1865 by Willem Hardorff from Leeuwarden. The church was originally a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist but became a Protestant church after the protestant reformation.
Cammingha-Buurstermolen, Leeuwarden
Cammingha-Buurstermolen was a smock mill in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1850. The restored mill was burnt out in an arson attack in 1994, and the remains were finally demolished in 2000.
