Simpelveld
Simpelveld is a municipality and a town in the southeastern Netherlands. Simpelveld has a heritage railway station and is the homebase of the South Limburg Railway Compagny ZLSM . On one weekend in October there is a Day out with Thomas from the children's television series Thomas and Friends.
Vaals
Vaals is a town in the extreme southeastern part of the Dutch province of Limburg, which in its turn finds itself in the southeastern part of the Netherlands. The municipality covers an area of 23.90 km² in the foothills of the Ardennes–Eifelrange and is located about 23 km east of Maastricht and 5 km west of the city centre of Aachen. It borders on both Belgium and Germany. The three borders meet on the Drielandenpunt, a few meters from the highest point of the Netherlands, the Vaalserberg.

Pinkpop Festival
Pinkpop Festival, or Pinkpop for short, is a festival held at Landgraaf, Netherlands. It is held annually on the Pentecost weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name). In 1970, the first festival took place in Geleen, now part of municipality Sittard-Geleen and was held on the Monday following that weekend. Parkstad Limburg Stadion
The Parkstad Limburg Stadion is a football stadium in Kerkrade, completed in 2000. With a present day capacity of 19.979 seats, the stadium was officially opened on August 15, 2000 with a friendly between Roda JC and Real Zaragoza (2–2). It is the home stadium of football club Roda JC Kerkrade from the Netherlands. In 2005 the Parkstad Limburg Stadion was the hosting stadium for the opening match and the semi-finals of the FIFA World Youth Championship Netherlands 2005.
Bernardinuscollege
Bernardinuscollege is a comprehensive school in Heerlen, the Netherlands. The school was founded by Franciscan monks in 1911 as ‘Sint-Bernardinus, R.K. Hoogere Burgerschool met 3-jarige cursus’ (‘Saint Bernardinus, R.C. Higher Citizenschool with 3-year course’), because of the need for education in the wake of the blooming mining industry. In September 1913 the first students arrived.

Bocholtz is a town in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Simpelveld, and lies about 7 km southwest of Kerkrade. Until 1982, it was a separate municipality. In January 2007, Bocholtz had 5,573 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.76 km², and contained 1,810 residences.
Welten
Welten is a village in Heerlen, still retaining its village like appearance. A couple of landmarks remain in Welten, including a church dating back to the 11th century though restored in the 19th century, and the Weltermolen (Weltermill), a watermill powered by the Geleenbeek. The Weltermolen dates back to at least the 14th century.
Jan Stuyt
Jan Stuyt (21 August 1868, Purmerend - 11 July 1934, The Hague) was a Dutch architect. Stuyt started his architectural career in 1883 at the office of A.C. Bleys (1842-1912), whose neo-Romanesque style would become of great influence on Stuyt. In 1891 Stuyt joined the Cuypers office in Amsterdam, where he became an overseer of the building of the Cathedral of Saint Bavo in Haarlem between 1895 and 1898.
Molenberg
Molenberg (literally Millhill) is a former mining colony in the south-western part of Heerlen, southeastern Netherlands. When work started in 1913 it was called Molenbergpark (Millhillpark). The mining colony was created to house mining executives (alongside the slope of the hill, towards the centre of Heerlen), engineers (alongside the mean road), and miners.
Monseigneur Schrijnen Retreat House
The Monseigneur Schrijnen Retreat House was designed by the famed architect Frits Peutz (best known for the Glaspaleis) in 1932, and named after the 18th bishop of Roermond Laurentius Josephus Antonius Hubertus Schrijnen (Venlo 30 July 1861 - Roermond 26 March 1932). It is located at the top of one of the steepest hills in Heerlen next to the Molenberg and surrounded by the Aambos (a forest). It is one of the biggest buildings designed by Peutz.
Weltermolen, Welten
The Weltermolen (literally Weltermill) is a watermill located in Welten, Heerlen in the Netherlands. It is fed by the Geleenbeek, with some extra force created by a largely man-made pond. The Weltermolen wasn't a watermill until the start of the 20th century. During WWII (approximately 1943) the waterwheel was taken out of action and an electrical motor took over. The mill was already mentioned in the 14th century and it has a strong connection with Huis Strijthagen.
Oliemolen, Heerlen
The Oliemolen (literally Oilmill) is a 16th-century watermill located at the foot of a steep hill in the Aambos, Heerlen in the Netherlands. The name already tells us much about its function, extracting oil, but this was not always the case, it first function as a volmolen (a mill to press wool). The mill is fed by the Caumerbeek. A copy, dating to May 31, 1710, of the original deed exists, indicating the mill was founded on May 9, 1502, commissioned by the family Van Scheasberg.
Former V&D Heerlen
The former V&D in Heerlen was designed by Frits Peutz (best known for the Glaspaleis) in 1958 as part of the store chain Vroom & Dreesmann (located in Heerlen since 1920). The interior design was done by Mr. Kober and his daughter Marcia and the builders were E. Joosten and L. Reumkens. The director in Heerlen was Adrianus Merkx. The building was relatively different for Heerlen, although used to modern architecture, this building was described as skyscraper like (10 storeys high).
Holset, Netherlands
Holset is a small village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Vaals, about 2 km west of the town of Vaals itself. Holset is about 15 minutes by car from Aachen, just inside the Dutch border in South Limburg. Holset has about 120 inhabitants, a church, hotel, bed-and-breakfast, and pub.
Ambachtsschool, Heerlen
The Ambachtsschool in Heerlen is a brick building with distinctive layers of marl (a stone commonly found in the south of Limburg). It is notable as one of the earliest vocational schools in the Netherlands. The building is located on the Burgemeester de Hesselleplein (formerly known as the Lindeplein), in Heerlen.

De Leuf is a restaurant located in Ubachsberg, Limburg in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one or two Michelin stars in the period 1996 to present. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 18.0 point. (Out of 20) Head chef of De Leuf is Paul van de Bunt. De Leuf is a member of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise. The restaurant is located in a farmhouse, that was originally built in 1759.

Wahlwiller is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Gulpen-Wittem. The village is located south of the Selzerbeek. The name of the village is derived from villare, what means "belonging to a villa". In the 14th century the village is mentioned under names as Waelwilre, Wailwilre and Walwilre. The prefix "wael" indicates that the inhabitants were speaking a Walloon language.

Restaurant Der Bloasbalg was a restaurant located in Wahlwiller, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1985-2005. From the beginning till 2005, when he sold the restaurant, Jan Waghemans was the head chef. Der Bloasbalg was a member of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise. The restaurant closed down in 2006 and was replaced by restaurant "Les Arômes".
