Nogales Municipality, Veracruz
Nogales is a municipality in the mountainous western region of the Mexican state of Veracruz. The municipal seat is the city of Nogales. It is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:18|49|N|97|10|W||| | |name= }}, at an altitude of 1280 m, and covers a total surface area of 77.32 km². In the year 2005 INEGI Census, the municipality reported a total population of 31,818. Of the municipality's inhabitants, 1,286 (4.67%) spoke an indigenous language, primarily Nahuatl.

Nogales is a city in the mountainous western region of the Mexican state of Veracruz. It serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of Nogales. Río Blanco is a municipality located in the montane central zone of the State of Veracruz, about 140 km from the state capital Xalapa. It has an area of 24.68 km2. The Decree of June 8, 1899 ordained that Tenango's municipal head-board create the municipality of Río Blanco designating it as Tenango de Río Blanco.
Battle of Barranca Seca
The Battle of Barranca Seca was a battle of the French intervention in Mexico and took place right after the Battle of Puebla on 18 May 1862. Contrary to the latter it was won by the unified reactionist Mexican-French forces.. The battle was preceded by a coup de chef of the reactionist forces, which was heated by the intrigue of the Spanish high command against Almonte and Márquez and French pressure towards the replacement of Zuloaga.
