Mall del Norte
Mall del Norte is a super regional shopping mall in Laredo, Texas. The mall opened in 1977 and has since been renovated in 1991, 1993 (expansion), 2007, and 2012. It is located along Interstate 35 in the city's rapidly growing retail hub of town. Mall del Norte is 1,212,515 sq ft with over 160 stores, making it the largest mall in South Texas, and one of the largest malls in Texas overall.
World Trade International Bridge
The World Trade International Bridge is one of 4 international bridges located in the cities of Laredo, Texas, and Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, that connect the United States and Mexico over the Rio Grande (Río Bravo). It is owned and operated by City of Laredo and the Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (Mexico's federal Secretariat of Communication and Transportation). It is also known as Laredo International Bridge 4.
Nye, Texas
Nye was a town two miles north of Laredo in southwestern Webb County, Texas, United States. It was named after Thomas C. Nye, a local planter who introduced Bermuda onions into the community in 1898. The area has been eventually absorbed by neighboring Laredo.
Zacate Creek
Zacate Creek is a small stream of water located in Webb County, Texas which runs through Laredo, Texas. The creek is formed inside Laredo, Texas city limits and runs southwest for 10 miles until it connects to the Rio Grande. Zacate Creek has several ditches leading to it. The terrain surrounding the creek is mostly clay. The vegetation surrounding the creek is mostly made up of mesquite, cacti, and grasses.
Laredo World Trade Port of Entry
The Laredo World Trade Port of Entry is located at the World Trade International Bridge (sometimes referred to as "Bridge IV"). It was built in 2000 in an effort to relieve traffic from the congested downtown Laredo bridges. Most of Laredo's cross-border commercial traffic uses this Port of Entry. Passenger vehicles are not permitted to enter here.
