General Escobedo
General Escobedo, or simply Escobedo, is a city and municipality in Nuevo León, Mexico that is part of the Monterrey Metropolitan area. As of the census of 2005, the population was 295,131 in the city and 299,364 in the municipality. The municipality has an area of around 205 km² and shares borders to the south with San Nicolás de los Garza, Monterrey and Santa Catarina; to the north with Hidalgo and El Carmen; to the east with Apodaca and Salinas Victoria; and to the west with García.

Del Norte International Airport is an airport located in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, working as a secondary airport for Mexico's third largest city, Monterrey. Its composed of 123 hangars, mainly private, a control tower, two runways, one of 2.000 m and the other is of 1.500 m, and a terminal building with all the facilities for commercial services, including a state-of-the-art concourse with 2 jetbridges and 2 more boarding gates. The airport is mainly used for pilot-training and private use.
Monterrey Arena
Arena Monterrey is an indoor arena in Monterrey, Mexico. It is primarily used for concerts, shows and indoor sports like indoor soccer or basketball. It used to be the home arena of the Monterrey Fury indoor soccer team and the Fuerza Regia, a professional basketball team in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional and the Monterrey La Raza, a team in the NISL. The Arena Monterrey is owned by Publimax S.A. de C.V. , part of the Avalanz Group, who owns 80% and by TV Azteca who owns 20%.

This station is named after the Y-junction that Avenues Colón and Madero make, and its logo represents it in the form of a letter "Y". The Y Griega station is a major transfer station as many buses that service communities off the Metropolitan area such as Pesquería connect to the Metro system at the Y Griega station.
Anáhuac (Monterrey Metro)
The Anáhuac Station is part of the expansion of Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. This station was planned to be a hub for the "Transmetro" BRT program, but those plans were later scrapped. This station serves the San Nicolás centre and the Anahuác neighborhood, from which the station takes its name. It is accessible for people with disabilities. Its logo represents the tower of the House of Culture La Pérgola, which is representative of the neighborhood. The inauguration was on October 31, 2008.
Parque Fundidora (Monterrey Metro)
The Parque Fundidora Station (Spanish: Estación Parque Fundidora) is a station on Line 1 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located in the intersection of Pablo A. de la Garza Avenue and Colon Avenue in the Pablo A. de la Garza neighborhood. It was opened in 1991. This station serves the Pablo A. de la Garza and Acero neighborhoods (Colonias Pablo A. de la Garza y Acero), this station is important due to its proximity to the public Fundidora Park and the Monterrey Arena.
Exposición (Monterrey Metro)
The Exposición Station is a terminal station on Line 1 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located on Juárez and Exposición Avenues in the La Hacienda neighborhood in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico. It was opened on April 25, 1991. This station is named after the Cattle State Exposition Show grounds (Expo Ganadera de N.L. ) that are located just beside the station, and its logo represents the head of a bovine.
Lerdo de Tejada (Monterrey Metro)
The Lerdo de Tejada Station (aka Estación Lerdo de Tejada) is a station on Line 1 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located on Juárez and Lerdo de Tejada Avenues in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico. This station serves the heavy populated Canteras neighborhood. It is near La Pastora Zoo Park. It is accessible for people with disabilities.
Eloy Cavazos (Monterrey Metro)
The Eloy Cavazos Station (Spanish: Estación Eloy Cavazos) is a station on Line 1 of the Monterrey Metro. It is located on Avenue Juarez next to the Santa Catarina river in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico. It was opened in 1991. Formerly known as "Palacio Federal" (because of the "Palacio Federal", a Federal Government office building nearby). On August 28, 2006, this station was renamed after Eloy Cavazos, the worldwide known matador, on the 40th anniversary of his "alternativa".
Pesquería (Nuevo León)
Pesquería is a municipality of the state of Nuevo León in Mexico. It is located at 25º47´N 100º3´W and 330 metres above the sea level. It is part of the suburban area of the Monterrey Metropolitan area. Its distance to the Monterrey city downtown area is 36 kilometres . To the east of Pesquería is Los Ramones, to the north is Doctor González, to the west is Apodaca and the General Mariano Escobedo International Airport, and to the south is Cadereyta Jiménez, all in Nuevo León.
Estadio de Fútbol Monterrey
The Estadio de Fútbol Monterrey is a stadium currently under development for FEMSA and CF Monterrey in Guadalupe, Greater Monterrey. The project was met with much controversy, stemming from the multiple accusations of the construction as an apparent impediment to the wildlife growth on a local scale. Regardless, the project was greenlit in August 2011, and is expected to begin construction proper in October of the same year, involving approximately 30 months total in development time.
Auditorio Banamex
Auditorio Banamex (former Auditorio Coca-Cola or Auditorio Fundidora) is an indoor amphitheatre, located in Fundidora Park, in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It was the primary venue for concerts until the Arena Monterrey opened in 2003. The amphitheatre opened in 1994 with a sponsorship by The Coca-Cola Company. When the venue was used less frequently, Mexican financial group Grupo Financiero Banamex, became its new sponsor with a $20 million dollar investment.

San Nicolás (Monterrey Metro)
The San Nicolás Station (Spanish: Estación San Nicolás) is a metro station along Line 2 of the Monterrey Metro. Located near the IMSS Zone Hospital No. 6, the station was opened on October 1, 2008. It is an elevated station built into the median of Mexican Federal Highway 85 where it intersects Benito Juárez Avenue. The station's original name was to be Juárez, but was changed to San Nicolás because of its location in the center of the city of San Nicolás de los Garza.
Museum of Steel
The Museum of Steel, known as the Museo del Alcero, is located in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The Museo del Acero is one of the largest museums ever created in Mexico. It is located on the site of the very large Fundidora steel plant that was decommissioned in the mid 1980s. For 80 years, the Fundidora plant was an important part of the economic and social fabric of this city of 3.7 million people, and its conversion to a major educational facility has been very well received.
AeroUnion Flight 302
AeroUnion Flight 302, operated by an Airbus A300B4-203F cargo aircraft, crashed in poor weather on final approach at General Mariano Escobedo International Airport, Monterrey, Mexico around 23:18 CDT on 13 April 2010, after a flight from Mexico City. All five persons on board were killed, as well as two on the ground.

The Autódromo Monterrey is a racetrack in Apodaca, Nuevo León. The track currently is operated by DIPSA and host races for NASCAR Toyota Series, drag racing, karting and Volks races.
Apodaca prison riot
The Apodaca prison riot occurred on 19 February 2012 at a prison in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico. Mexico City officials stated that at least 44 people were killed, with another twelve injured. The Blog del Narco, a blog that documents events and people of the Mexican Drug War anonymously, reported that the actual (unofficial) death toll may be more than 70 people. The fight was between Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel, two drug cartels that operate in northeastern Mexico.
