Cuernavaca
Cuernavaca is the capital and largest city of the state of Morelos in Mexico. It was established at the archeological site of Gualupita I by the Olmec, "the mother culture" of Mesoamerica, approximately 3200 years ago. It is also a municipality located about 85 km south of Mexico City on the D-95 freeway. The city was nicknamed the "City of Eternal Spring" by Alexander von Humboldt in the nineteenth century.

Temixco is the fourth-largest city in the Mexican state of Morelos. It stands at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:18|51|N|99|14|W||| | |name= }} in the west-northwest part of the state. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality, with which it shares a name. The city had a 2005 census population of 89,915 persons, while the municipality reported 98,560 inhabitants. The municipality has an area of 87.869 km² (33.926 sq mi).

The church and its surrounding monastery is one of the early 16th century monasteries in the vicinity of the Popocatepetl volcano, built initially for evangelization efforts of indigenous people after the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire.
Palace of Cortés, Cuernavaca
The Palace of Cortés in Cuernavaca, Mexico, is the oldest conserved colonial era civil structure on the continental Americas, being almost 500 years old. The building began as a fortified residence for Hernán Cortés and his second wife Juana Zúñiga. It was built in 1526, over a Tlahuica/Aztec tribute collection center, which was destroyed by the Spanish during the Conquest. Cortés replaced it with a personal residence to assert authority over the newly conquered peoples.
