Japanese destroyer Sagiri was the sixteenth of twenty-four Fubuki-class destroyer destroyers, built for the Imperial Japanese Navy following World War I. Sarawak State Museum

The Sarawak State Museum is the oldest museum in Borneo. It was established in 1888 and opened in 1891 in a purpose-built building in Kuching, Sarawak. Sponsored by Charles Brooke, the second White Rajah of Sarawak, the establishment of the museum was strongly encouraged by Alfred Russel Wallace.

Kuching High School

Kuching High School (KHS) (古晋高级国民型中学) is a three-acre public secondary school located at the center of Kuching, which is the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia. It is a co-ed school for students from transition to form 5. Its curriculum prepares students for the Lower Secondary Evaluation Examination in form 3 and Malaysian Certificate of Education examination in form 5. The Astana, Sarawak

The Astana is a palace in Kuching, Sarawak, on the north bank of the Sarawak River, opposite the Kuching Waterfront. It is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, the Governor of Sarawak. The name is a variation of 'istana', meaning 'palace'. It was built in 1870 by the second White Rajah, Charles Brooke, as a wedding gift to his wife, Margaret Alice Lili de Windt.

Fort Margherita

Fort Margherita is an old fort built in 1879 by Charles Brooke, Rajah of Sarawak situated in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The fort is an important landmark and monument in Sarawak's history which goes back to the Brooke Dynasty. The fort, built in the style of an English castle, was designed to protect Kuching from attack by pirates. It served as a Police Museum from 1971 before being handed over to the Sarawak state government and now is a tourist attraction in Kuching.

HNLMS K XVI

HNLMS K XVI was one of five K XIV class submarines built for the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNN). Entering service in 1934, the submarine was deployed to the Netherlands East Indies. On 24 December 1941, K XVI torpedoed and sank the Japanese destroyer Sagiri; the first Allied submarine to sink a Japanese warship. A day later, the Dutch submarine was torpedoed by Japanese submarine I-66 off Borneo, with all aboard killed.
