Kėdainiai District Municipality is one of 60 municipalities in Lithuania.
Kėdainiai (air base)
Kedainiai, also spelled Kedaynyay, is an airport in Lithuania located 45 km north of Kaunas. It has 28 large pads. Aeronautical sources list it as "civilian", so its military use has been retired. The airport was built during the period of USSR control during World War II. It was the base for 600 VTAP (600th Military Transport Aviation Regiment) flying Il-76 and An-12 from September 1958, until 1992 when the unit was relocated to Shadrinsk, Kurgan Oblast.
Holy Transfiguration Church, Kėdainiai
Holy Transfiguration Church is an Orthodox church in Kėdainiai. The first, wooden Orthodox church in Kėdainiai was constructed in 1643. From 1652 it belonged to an Orthodox monastery of the Holy Transfiguration, which was destroyed by fire in 1771. After this event the monastery was never rebuilt and the monks moved to the Holy Spirit Monastery in Vilnius. In 1798 it was officially closed.

Vištupis
The Vištupis is a river of Kėdainiai district municipality, Kaunas County, central Lithuania. It flows for 6.2 kilometres. The river flows into the Smilga, which is a tributary of the Nevėžis, in turn a tributary of the Neman River.
Kėdainiai minaret
The Kėdainiai minaret is the only free-standing minaret in Lithuania. It is located in the city of Kėdainiai, at the city park, between the Kėdainiai train station and the Dotnuvėlė River.
